I'd have to be the porn junk mail that I get like every day. I get some of the most disgusting stuff sometimes. Of course I never open it, just hit the delete button.

lol! I also get those and I'm not even a man!

Some other really annoying ones I get are mortgage and loan spams. I was getting like 3 or 4 of those a day before and then I filtered out the word that was commonly occurring in each spam mail's subject and now they get trashed before I ever see them!

The other most annoying spams would have to be the ones saying that you won a free dinner card or a free laptop or something like that. I also have a tendency to get these "daily saver" junk mails in my junk mail box all the time.

I have tried blocking the e-mails (yes, I know how to interpret the headers and such) and I've even tried blocking the server IPs that are sending the junk mail but it never seems to work! Man I wish I could find a nice filter.

The spam I manage to filter out pretty well on our Exchange server. Hotmail.com is the only lost cause I've ever had that has been plagued with spam since a few minutes prior to me signing up for it 9 some odd years ago. What annoys me the most is the chain emails that family and friends send me that ask me to forward the email to 10 other people so that I'll get an extra special blessing or financial gift this week. Give me a break!

I very rarely receive any spam, terabolic's filters are great. The only spam I receive is the occasional request from relatives of dead people in other countries who have tons of money in the bank and need assistance disbursing it.
What's really annoying the is the endless flow of chain letters and random forwarded anecdotes I get from a couple people I know; I just don't have the heart to block their email...

Them things you'r getting as described in your first paragraph sounds like Nigerian Pyramid Scheme spams. Don't open them. Some spam mail will confirm your e-mail address when you open it and then they know your e-mail address is valid and will send you more spam. I highly recommend not opening e-mail from anyone you don't know who it's from. I got a Phishing Trojan once from doing that.

Penis enlargement, online degrees and mail order russian brides.

I don't know how that last one would work. Doesn't putting someone in a box and shipping them overseas contravene human rights?

I get them too. If you even manage to work out how to block them all, please tell me

Hotmail was always the worst for spam. Unless you block everything except for a few friends in your addy book, you may as well just get another email address so anyone who you may know (but forgot about) will still be able to get in contact with you. I don't use Hotmail anymore for that reason. They know your address before you can finish signing up for it.

That nigerian email scam and its different forms like you won an international lottery, or my great uncle hoozy whatsy from country x died and left 25million in a trust account agree to go in with me and you get 25% of the money...sure I don't think so.. Those are the ones I truley dislike the most.
