Moses- Between The Lines
A modernized historical 1st-person Biography of Moses

As I saw how hard my people were working; I viewed to my displeasure; an Egyptian striking a Hebrew. I could not well stand for this so I looked around and found no one to oppose me; I killed the man and covered him in the sand.
The very next day I went out once again and found two Hebrews fighting. I tried to reason with them but they criticized me and said "what will you do? put me to death as you did the Egyptian?" Now is when I realized that many men had known of my killing of the Egyptian. So I fled from the pharaoh to the land of Midian.
The priest at Midian had seven Daughter and I witnessed them coming to water their sheep. I didn't want to see them struggle so I decided to go help. So all was done and the daughters went back to their father. His name was Reuel. Reuel was puzzled that his daughters were finished so quick, so he asked why they were done so quick. They told their father an Egyptian man had come to help Them. So when he heard this about me he asked why they hadn't offered me food and rooming. So they offered me to come in and stay.
I was overjoyed to be staying with Reuel; and to my great delight he gave me his daughter Zipporah. We bore a child together and was named Gershom, for that meant "living in a strange land."
Now after a while the weight of my peoples work became to much. They began to cry at the amount of their work. But God had heeded their call.
So when I was watching over my-father-in-laws flock I brought them to Horeb-The mountain of God. I witnessed a tree engulfed in fire, but yet it was not burning. And I realized it was the angel of the Lord. He cried out from the tree saying "Moses! Moses!", I began to draw near but stopped; as he said, "Stop and take of your shoes for you approach holy ground."
He told me he had seen and heard the cries of my people at the hands of the Egyptians. I was afraid but stood in awe and listened. He said he wished me to liberate the people. I replied that it was a big job and I didn't think I could handle it. He said to have faith in him. I still had my doubts; and I said so. So he told me to take my brother Aaron to help me speak and also said "If they ask who has sent you tell them it is I AM that has sent you."
The angel then left. This was were my choice came in. I could forget this ever happened; or I could take a leap of faith and put my life in the hands of God. This is where my journey began...............
