Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I made a mix cd today. It is for someone I'm trying "get to know". It ended up being a very long process. If you were going to make a mix CD you were trying to get to know better, what would you put on it?

If you're trying to impress this person, you'd better swap Ben Folds's "Golden Slumbers" with the Beatles' version. I mean, if you can have the Beatles, why would you want anything other than the original version?

I think the real question is why would you put "Golden Slumbers" on a mix when you could put "You Never Give Me Your Money"?

He's got a point. But why not close the mix with "In My Life"? I mean, if you've ever graduated from anything, it'll hit ya. Or if you're just a Ramblin' Man...

To answer some of your questions:

1. Ben Folds instead of The Beatles version? This person I'm making the CD for and I have bonded over our love for the Beatles. So I wanted something Beatles-esque, with out putting The Beatles on it. I don't usually like Beatles covers, but I do love this version of Golden Slumbers.

2. I think Golden Slumbers is the perfect song to end any mix CD, Ben Folds or Beatles version.

3. I'm not ending it with IN MY LIFE b/c even though that is one of my favorite Beatles songs (and I don't mind the Johnny Cash version) it reminds me of my ex boyfriend too much.
