I am thinking of a game where there is a letter missing at the beginning of a word. For example in the word,
_ORU.MS, the letter "F" is missing. The next poster would then have to post a word that has a second letter of "F", like _FTEN. This time, the missing letter is "O", and the following poster would post a word that has a second letter of "O", such as _OCCER. Basically, each poster figures out the missing first letter in the previous word and uses that missing letter as the second letter in their own word that is missing its first letter.
[In cases where more than one letter may fit in the "missing" spot, the next poster has the freedom to choose whichever letter he/she wants, and in the unlikely event that no word exists with a second letter of _, this poster may choose any word he/she would like.]
Does that make sense? (See, this is the type of game I devise to delay reading 70 or so pages of a book I'm supposed to have read by tomorrow. )
