why has a single dinosaur bone never been found? why are they all fossils? surely a bone should have been found by now if they all only died about 4000 years ago.

Well, were I a (flood model, young Earth) creationist, I would likely respond thusly: All the dinos saved by Noah died out very shortly after being released from the ark. Their population was a tiny fraction the size of pre-flood dino populations. Therefore, all we find are fossilized-during-the-flood dinos which had taken advantage of the apparent magic fossilizing powers of Noah's flood.

Well, there are many Christians who debate on this matter as well. There are several explainations:
1. Dinosaurs never existed. They are just rocks that are shaped strangely.- This is incredibly ignorant.
2. God had two beginnings. The first one he made dinosaurs, then made humans. Since humans were not around during the first creation, the first creation was not mentioned.
3. God made the Earth in six days, but the Earth is still millions of years old. In Job, reported to be the one of the oldest books, happening before the flodd, speaks of the Behemoth, which could possibly be a dinosaur.
4. God made the Earth in an unspecified amount of time, or "God Days." These "days" could range from 1000-100,000,000 years.
5. Noah did in fact take dinosaurs onto the ark, but afterwards most of them were not able to adapt to the new climate, and perished.
There are other theories as well, but I don't feel like posting them. Don't forget, relatively very few bones are ever fossilized.

3) The problem with the Behemoth is most people read into it, and ignore some parts about it.

5) Thats what this is discussing. If dino's were around long enough to be seen as the "behemoth" then how come we dont find dinosaur Bone. We find Fossils, but no bone.

This Ark would have put the Titanic to shame (In size). And all out of wood? I know some creationist will come back and site in 1312 so and so set sail from such and such wioth a schooner all out of wood!-LOL..yes a schooner...not something big enough to hold TWO of each species o nthe Earth for 40 days! PLUS now we are proposing to add Dinosaurs to the mix. I winder if Velocirapture was a nice travel companion? LOL...(I hear he can me moody?)

Amazing how it could have supported Dinosaurs and all the other Animals using lumber-and not even pressure treated lumber!! Also-they must have had some very "mushy" decks and interesting molds after a week at sea

If Dinosaurs were in the Ark they would have asked them to "hold it" for 40 days or go overboard. A bowel movement from T-Rex would take the whole ark down! LOL

Yes, I have heard this one before. In fact it was a similar statement at a Wednesday night Bible Study that sent me running for the exit, I remember saying, "That's it, I can't take any more" as I grabbed my Bible never to be seen again. Yes, bones that just happened to shape themselves like rib cages etc. I believe they have reconstructed certain Dinos that are fully articulating....I am sure I read that somewhere? If so odd how all these Rocks just happen to fit together. This is what I have been "preaching" there is something about the age of the Earth and Dinosaurs that scares the Cr** out of Creationists. They feel they must discredit the observable and tangible in order to prove the unseen never validated story...

By the same token, why haven't any fossilized humans been found? I mean, if humans and dinosaurs occupied this earth at the same time, then shouldn't we expect to find at least ONE, fossilzed modern human?

In the belly of a T-Rex, perhaps?

If it was the flood that "fossilized" the dinosaur bones, what about all the wicked humans that died in the flood?

Because bones themselves can be decayed in as little as four months.

Not that there never were bones, but the ones that do exist now are probably fossilized, and if there ARE bones that aren't fossilized that are 4,000 years old, it's an extreme rarity- that'd explain that.

I'M YEC, and I'M not even expecting to find whole dinosaur bones UNfossilized.

On top of that, what with the flood and all, the dinosaur carcass was probably quite heavy, and got buried by MASS amounts of earth.

The Ark only had to last a year. They had ways to treat wood back then that would last at least that long. Even today there are some of the old wooden boats left, but they are expensive and a lot of work to maintain.

Also, you have to remember, the wood was not kilm dried like it is now a days.

Not terribly- wooden boats are built all the time. Boats that stand on marinas for years and years.

Certainly 40 days, certainly 10 days (as you said) would have called for some pretty smooth sailing.

There is a difference between a Wooden boat, and a Very Very Large wooden boat.

With the quick math of the flood I did a long time ago. I found out that around 505 Tons of water would fall on the ark per minute.
Not to mention all the other problems someone would have keeping everything together, and everything alive.

And, as you mentioned, Dino bones are probably heavy, and thus got burried sooner in the flood. So, why dont we find small dino bones with mammals? Why dont we find large mammal bones with dinos?
