I am new to this forum, and was thrilled to see a place for posting Testimonies. I promised to tell this story everywhere I went long ago, and I LOVE to tell it.
Almost 24 years ago my son was born in Dallas, Texas. He was an awesome baby. 11 ponds and 1 oz. at birth. He was also beautiful.
A few weeks after we took him home it was very clear he was blind. He had no reaction to any visual stimulation. My heart was broken, but I just refused to believe he was blind. So holding out hope, we took him to the doctor. Sadly he confirmed my worst fears.
He gave us no hope but said if we wished he would refer us to the best specialist available. We gladly jumped at that.
But on the way home, 7 words kept running through my mind as if all on thier own: "Why not take him to THE Specialist". Finally the message got through my thick scull.
So I went to see the most sincere and devout pastor I have ever met in my life. It will amaze you but he is Baptist. I asked him if his church prayed at Wednesday night prayer meetings, or if like so many other churches he simply delivered a short message and every one went home. He assured me they prayed.
So I gave him the details and asked if he personally would pray and then have the rest of the church also pray. He assured me they would indeed all pray.
I went home and on Wednesday I did not take our son to the church. We did not go at all. But the church DID pray.
The next Friday I went in to check on the baby and he was on his back looking up at the beautiful mobile hanging over his crib that he had never seen before and was laughing and cooing as he playfully struck at it.
I leaned over and he looked at me and I put my hand down over his eyes and he BLINKED! There was no healing service and no prayer lines. I do not say that because I do not believe in them I do. But I say it to show that our miracle working God works in many ways and is limited only by our faith in Him.
It is not the healing lines, or the servants, or the laying on of hands that heal. It is our Awesome God, and He does it in many ways.
All these years I have given Him all the Praise, Glory, and honor for giving my son sight, and I always will throughout eternity.
I DO believe in healing services and lines and laying on of hands. But I share this story as a testimony of the unrestricted and all powerful healing ministry of our God.
I love You Father, and I give you Praise and Glory and Honor once again before all these witnesses!
