I'm an INTP, 5w4 for enneagram, though I've always preferred MBTI.
INFP.
I bet half of the users responding will be INTJ or INFJ.
They are the rarest personality types and many would like to feel as if they're gods among men for having a personality type called 'the mastermind'.
On the internet, everyone has a high IQ, a rare personality type, and is an expert in something. It' no different than me pretending to be a wolf since I don't have to prove otherwise in person.
Since the basis of each person's assessment, of their personality type is drawn from a limited resource, would a person presume certain attributes ?
If we hypothesized the assessment of personally to be correct ,can we form a parallel with religous denomations ?
It would be interesting to test a cross section of religion, to evaluate the validity of each denomation.
I say this due to misinterpting the Bible ,it baffles me how so many can read the same text ,yet have vast differences in belief.
I agree for the strength of its usefulness...in my former civil service career was forced to determine types publicly and go through team exercises. But since retirement i have found what you say to be true regarding self study and how to engage with the world at large..(I am an INTP btw..)I doubt there would be much correlation. if we are talking generalities, we can find correlations with atheism and so forth. but it is a broad division. So much depends on people identifying themselves correctly and the MBTI theory being accurate enough.
I like MBTI theory, I find it interesting. but at the end of the day, its usefulness is more as a tool for self-improvement than a tool for truly identifying personalities. Too many people try to treat it as they would astrology. (no correlation btw, unless everyone is wrong about their type). basing who they date and so forth on MBTI is just as silly. it's only value is in helping you to identify your strengths and weaknesses.
As someone who fits into all of those categories I have to disagree. They are the rarest personality types and many would like to feel as if they're gods among men for having a personality type called 'the mastermind'.

You appear to be right. I’m seeing a lot of infj’s. Can you make a poll thread? They are the rarest personality types and many would like to feel as if they're gods among men for having a personality type called 'the mastermind'.

Definitely an XNTP but I lean to ENTP. I thought INTP for a while, but... I don't think so anymore. My friends don't either. I'm an inventor, a debater, and I'm pretty extraverted.
Or as they say, "The most extraverted introvert" or "The most introverted extrovert"
I’m Grandpa2390 on perCI hate to admit it, but I am lookslikeiwin on Personality Cafe. Have we met?
I think introverted extroverts are really common among ENxxs. I had no debate because I will happily stay at home for several days in a row and see no one but family, preferably not all dayI do get pretty chatty though, so sometimes people who don't know me well get confused.

My signature: I don’t believe in mbti, I’m an XNTP and we’re skeptical “
I’m sure we’ve butted heads
Quite possibly. It seems familiar. I try not to butt heads with people but there’s always someone. People get unnecessarily uppity about MBTI theory imo, like whether you believe in functions and stuff. I don’t really get why it matters to anyone so much.
