I don't know if there are age guidelines for posting in the mature singles section, as opposed to the main singles section. I'm 42, so I don't really know which section would be more appropriate for me.

But anyway, my name is Tom, and I'm single. And I'm not really sure anymore about how I feel about being single. I used to flat-out hate it. Now I'm ambivalent about being single.

Welcome to mature singles. This place is kinds dead at the moment. So anyone posting will add some life.
The single things is a mixed bad often. I was single till I was 28, did a lot of neat stuff, but really wanted a wife. Had a wife and family for 28 yrs. Have been single for 7 yrs now. I just have GFs now. That is working really well.

In the last two years i do struggled with how i feel about being single at 34. Then it struck me that it is the restedness in God and believing in his will for my future.

I just found out this mature singles forum.

I am 51 going 52.. I do not mind being single..I am dating someone for 10 months and not in a rush to get married. I enjoy the company, going to church, and places with him but when I think about marriage and share my life again with a spouse. .I have serious doubts if I want that again. Friends told me that he might not be the one...others friends told me that my doubt is consequence of going through a divorce. Well..

Single thoughts: It gets lonely and at times my heart aches. I often worry if something is wrong with me. I see others, married and happy, then I see me. Alone. But then I stop to think... God is waiting. He may have someone for me who will exceed everything I could ever dream of or God may see fit for me to remain single. Either way, I have to stop my negative thoughts and rejoice because I'm loved by the Most High King and He will always have my best interests at heart.
