I would encourge you to give it a try...if it is something you love....then you might want to invest in some of the harder to find ingredients...like lemongrass, Kha, Keffier lime leaves...and the Thai peppers, it's really hard to cook authenic Thai without them....and subs just don't cut the mustard..lol.

I get alot of my recipes from these two sites...Allrecipes is alittle more user friendly...but Epicurious is my fav.
I use the advance searches, and set it say for example Mexican...and Soup...and it will give me soups on that site...that fit that description. Or somethngs....using the advance searches....I will list some indgredients that I have on hand....and it will give me recipes that have those indgredients. This has come in hand, and during the end of the paycheck...times of the month....when I am like >>>

Pam, I absolutely like allrecepies.com. I have been using it for years. It is great for when you are pondering what to cook with the ingredients that you want or have. I will check into the second website that you listed. I'm always looking for a better recipe.
