Awe same with my son. Going through divorce with two beautiful girls. He has moved back home. Went through some great depression over this. But I praise God for this for through this heartbreak God has drawn him back to His Lord. We are waiting on God to see which direction God has for Him now.

Yes I am a stay at home mom and grandma tee hee. Very important for the children to know that if they call home someone is hear to meet their needs. Yes it was a busy busy time when we had our foster children. I had two teens of my own and the time. So we had 6 teens and 3 younger ones. I miss it though. I saw God bring these children into a great bond of Love for one another.. Still to this day it is there. I can remember the meals and the grocery shopping spree. LOL. We would only shop once a month so we didn't spend more than what we needed other than milk.. We had to take my husbands pick up truck and it tooks us 3 hours at the store.. LOL...

I miss the zoo and the aboritum (sp?) alot. We would go there about once a month with the kids.

My husband gets paid once a month...so I always grocery shopped once a month too, when the kids where at home.

I grow alot in my garden, that helps too....that is if I can get too the produce, before the grasshopper do

The last three years, we have had grasshoppers in biblical proportions. When I was a kid I loved playing with grasshoppers and toads...lol...now that I am older I still love toads...because they eat grasshoppers...lol..,

Yes is really tough. My heart breaks everytime I see my daughter in her depressive state. She is taking medication and is helping some, but she still has those feelings of worthlessness. What has helped my daughter is returning to college to finish her degree. I pray that the sense of accomplishment eventually take over the feelings of worthlessness. Another item, and the most important, is that she is rediscovering Christ. I pray that she discovers the healing wonders of our Lord.
In the mean time, diapers do need changing.

Okay, I had to google shiner Bock lol.
Are ya'll talking about beer???
Because in that case, Heinekin should
be your favorite

rofl.
Praise God for toads, and here I never
liked the little guys much.
I think it's the purple martins that eat
the skeeters though isn't it?

Sounds awesome Pam, a garden.
At my former home, my neighbor
used to call my garden a "Freedom
Garden". Im trying to remember
why.
Thanks Pam, you have inspired me!!

Actually, that was one of my obscure quotes from kids movies. In "Finding Nemo", Marlin and Dori get "invited" to a little get together by Bruce the Shark, which is really like an AA meeting, but the wagon is fish instead of booze. Bruce starts, and tells his story, then Dori (where the quote is from) and then Marlin. Each of us telling our "story" reminded me of that scene in the movie. So long story longer - I have eaten fish It was just a joke, that probably only I find amusing

Thank you. I really do appreciate that.

Francine Rivers...well, her trilogy that I LOVE and HIGHLY recommend is Mark of the Lion series. It is set in the time frame just after the crucifixion. She does diverse stuff..some contemporary...some romance (not yucky Harlequin kind)...OH another ALL time favorite author is Karen Kingsbury! SHE is awesome. EVERY single book she writes brings a tear to my eye. I just finished a Ted Dekker triology...the Circle Trilogy it is called..Black, Red and White were the titles. VERY good. I am reading another series now by Brandilyn Collins...the one I am reading now is called Eyes of Elisha. It is good. Ha, can you tell reading is a passion?

Pam, I agree. I know my kids love it when they call home and need something I am here to help out. My kids haven't given me any hard times really. They are good kids and love the Lord...so I am truly blessed.

Ya know my name is "Simon"
I like to do drawrings...
Not seriously, just a SNL skit.

I was born and raised as a 4th generation "ENTITLED CHRISTIAN" a family much in the need of a revival, no offense to my ancestors.
I was brought up in a liturgical, sacremental denomination and felt if the generations before me saw our beliefs fit then so did I.
I was a youth director at my church in my 20's with a tremendous knowledge of religion, and next to none when it came to the word of God... Needless to say not knowing Gods revelation is not good when times get tough or when you fall down in life.
Long story short, I fell He picked me up brushed me off and pointed me in His right direction. PTL.

Currently Titus 3:5 is my life verse...
My phrase is from a song...I've laid my burdens down, and now I'm packing light...

Aside from the Bible my choice of reading is revolved around either history or corporate prayer. I tend to read history with a bend toward what we Christians ought not do. And regarding prayer I am amazed daily at the true power and compassion and understanding and direction of our Father.

My spiritual gifts tend to land in the discenment arena.
I'm in my forties engaged to be married 07.07.07 and have a 15 year old boy who I am very proud of, he has the desire and understands scripture and has read as much or more of it as me ...PTL.

So their ya go, that's me!

Eastern or Native American food?

I really don't have too much experience with either....so far I mostly cook,...Thai, Chinese, Japanese(just starting with this one)...Mexican, and learning Mediterranean, but I am far from an expert in any of them....lol...just lots of fun. Plus, my health has improved since I started cooking alot of Asian foods at home.

have no clue when it
comes to preparing.
Yeah, I meant india/mainly

Thai might do the trick though.
It's pretty spicy right?
Oh this is exciting.
Too bad you live so way
down there!

But if you like italian, I
have an awesome recipe
for Tigliarini Picchi Pacchiu.
It's a delicate melt in your
