Hello I go by IamAdopted, I go by this name because I was conceived out of the act of rape and never new an earthly Dad, I came to Christ 4 years ago. Through many trials and tribulations He has drawn me closer to Him. I love to read His word. He has opened up His word to me in ways that have let me know that I am His. I love to talk theology. It is one of my interests.
Aside from My Father and Lord and His word I love to sew and crochet. I am a mother of 5 children. I have a wonderful husband who loves the Lord and directs His family to Him. I am not a young spring Chick. I have 4 grandchildren and praying that the Lord blesses me with More if He tarry's. I love to read as well as garden.

My name is Pam, I live in Texas...I love to pray, and reading and meditate on scripture, and reading about saints lives. I have been doing animal rescue for about 15 years, for a local humane society. I worked for years, doing direct care for the severely and profoundly mentally retarded....I had to leave because of a neck injury, and could no longer do the lifts(I worked on a home with 10 grown men, who were wheelchair bound). I really miss this line of work... My animals keep me busy, but I have had to cut back on that too...I mainly focus now on animals that have been severely abused, and need long term rehab. I love to garden, crochet...and cook international food....Thai is my favorite..

My day is spent, in a flow between praying, posting here and on another forum, gardening...and cooking and cleaning.

I have three grown sons, all do me proud and are coming along nicely...in becoming responsible adults...phew..

One of my favorite parts of the bible is were, John is resting his head on Christ during the Last Supper,....I like to think about that ....and wow, he was listening to the very heartbeat of God.

My husband and I have a dream, that after he retires moving to Italy for a whole year....don't know if we will actually get to stay for a whole year, but we like dreaming about it...

I could use some prayers, I have some health problems...I have fibro and rheumatoid arthritis, in addition to my messed up neck...which Praise God has been doing better lately. But I have noticed over the past few weeks, on my thigh...right near the left side of my knee, about 3 inches above my knee...the muscle is shrinking...it looks like a huge chunk has been taken out of my leg. ...I suppose I really should go to the doctor and have it check out....but I would appreciate any prays...thanks

Ok, I will post a bit....I am Melody. I am a mom to 2 natural children who are totally awesome, and we have a foster son who is like my own. I am a stay at home mom, even though they are teens, I figure they need me more now than when they were littler! I love it. I am happily married to my soul mate whom I adore...he is an awesome man. I love to read Christian fiction.

Awe praying that the Lord will restore health to every area. Praying for wisdom for the doctores about this spot and that Gods healing hands would touch in in such a way that even the world would stand and give praise to Him.

Oh goodness..all sorts. I love the suspense, thriller, romance....there is some good fantasy out there too. I just love to read...it is my passion!

Yep, I have 3 teens! YIKES. The one boy..my heart aches for him so bad. He is our foster son. We took him in cause his mothers boyfriend beat him up badly...his mother is well...less than stallar...but I love this kid like he was my own. God has been doing some miracles with him..and it is amazing.

we had 4 foster children at one time. Gang members. It is amazing what God can and will do with these children. I am praying for this young man that the Lord will heal this spirit of rejection he must have felt. Praying for Him also that the Lord will heal his broken spirit. I love the thriller books also. I am not into the romance. Do you have a favorite Author?

My most favorite author is Francine Rivers, I love her, I love Dee Henderson, Terri Blackstock, Hannah Alexander..um...Ted Dekker...lots of good authors out there...

Thanks for praying for our son. He sure does need it. Yesterday in school, a kids said something about his mother not loving him...and though it is true..it really hurt him. SO I reminded him, just cause his biological mother may not..he does have a real mother that DOES love him and appreciates him. But you could see the rejection and hurt on him. It was sad....lots of work to be done that only the Holy Spirit can do.

Awe bless his heart. I will be lifting Him up this evening during our bible time. Praying that where the Locust have eaten that the Lord will restore with His grace and love and might. Well since all the guys are waiting for a sacrificial lamb here I go.

I live in Houston, Texas and have been married to my soul mate for 28 years. We have 2 grown kids which have given us 4 wonderful grandchildren I love to spend time with them. My daughter went through a divorce 2 years ago, so she and 3 of my grandchildren, all girls, live with us until my duaghter can get back on her feet. I feel sorry to see her go through that mess but, from a selfish standpoint, love to have the grandkids with me. The only "problem" is that makes me the only male in my household. I guess I will have to get used to the "toilet seat" debate.
I own my own business and just returned to college to get a M.Th. which hopefully and with God's guidance I'll follow up with a doctorate in theology. I don't want to be a pastor, but would like to teach theology at a college level when I retire.

Now, I hope some of those "yellow" guys will follow my lead.

Hi, I'm Kristos. I'm the leader of our High School youth group and I teach Sunday school. I have 3 daughters and a wife, who keep me busy. My dream is to open my own bike shop. Right now I repair bikes as a side business in the evenings. I race bikes on the weekends - on and off road. I've been learning to speak Russian for a few years on my own. I also speak some German as a remnant of living near Frankfurt for 3 years. I spent about 18 months of my life underwater. I love to read about the lives of the Saints. My favorite story is that of St Seraphim of Sarov. My youngest daugther is named after him. My favorite food is BBQ pulled pork and Shiner Bock (left over from my years at Texas A&M). I love to use obscure quotes and references to kids movies. And well, I don't think I've ever eaten a fish.

I think a stay at home mom, is very important during the teenage years as well...I switched working the graveyard shift...10/6 so I would be home during the day, and my husband would be home....at night while I was gone. But honestly found it easier to supervise my kids, when I was a full time stay at home mom....guess that was one of the mixed blessing of getting injuried.

It's scary the things that our kids are exposed to today, which is why I think they need more direct parenting, than say former generations.

I feel blessed none of my kids, every gave me any trouble....they were hard work...but well worth it...I really wish I could have had more, but for some reason after my last one...I would miscarry when I became pregnant.
