what about it? It is a chair Moses sat on...nothing to do with anything now a days..
If I'm not mistaken he had something to do with Jesus' garments I am looking for an answer right now.
But yes paul on atleast 1 or 2 occasions states something similar to "have I not witnessed the resurrected lord?" True it blinded him maybe from the brightness of his purity? But it was certainly Jesus and not just a vision. I'll find scriptures on this... It is interesting stuff.
Who cares about the seat of Moses. Christ sits on the throne to the one we are Born of God. For Christ is the head of His church. This is written about in scripture everywhere. He is seated on the throne of His kingdom and us being His people are seated there with Him. This is also written in scripture.
Awe and many a protestant were burned at the stake for truth's sake. No where in scripture is tradtion spoken of as Inspired by God. The scriptures are though. Tradtion when conflicting against scripture is not something I am willing to believe. For Gods word is God breathed..
tradition doesn't mean a whole lot to me. Sorry. I know it does to you...but...nope, no mention of Moses chair in the NT...so....It is Tradition and Jesus spoke it so I figured it would be Holy Inspired.
Memory leaving me in my old age, it was Stephen's stoning that Saul was present for.I look forward to your findings.
Peace,
Jack

are you questioning me reading the Word of God?BE careful bro. Yeah, THE PHAIRASIEES...what does that have to do with anything? SO, where do we find these 'oral' traditions? and HOW do we know to trust them..kinda like the game of telephone...loses it meaning in translation...especially through so many centuries. SORRY BUT I will stick to the Word of God. God didn't put no pope on no seat of Moses. Sorry..Pope isn't even mentioned. Careful with what you want to accuse me of...Matthew
23:2. Saying: The scribes and the Pharisees have sitten on the chair of Moses.
I thought you followed the Word of God in the Bible? Didn't God state to keep our oral and written traditions?
For me there is no question since the Bible is the Word of God and I try as best as i can to follow all Jesus said.

wow.prophetic? Um...sorry to disappoint you..but you are wrong..and don't worry, I am not sinning. No, I just don't agree with alot of your denominations teachings. Doesn't make me angry. I have no clue how you picked up what you THINK I am..but you are seriously mistaken. I forgive you...for judging me.Peace sister...
I do not like to see others get angry and short tempered since I do not want to be part of their sin.
I have no hate towards you and can read the hate in you for the Pope.
Peace be with you,
Jack
We are to follow Jesus and all He said. Now look and see who sits in the seat of Moses. It isn't the believers in Christ but the scribes and Pharasee's. When we come to Christ we are seated in the heavenlies not here on earth in Moses seat. For Christ sits on the Throne in Heaven. He trumped Moses and the Law by fulfilling the Law. Now He is the one sitting on the throne but His is in Heaven.Matthew
23:2. Saying: The scribes and the Pharisees have sitten on the chair of Moses.

Those who were seated in the seat of Moses Jesus rebuked for thier tradition. He did not praise them that is for sure. He said they make themselves look clean from the outside but inside they were like wolves. The bible states that Scripture is all we need to be fully equipped. We do not need tradtions to equip us. Gods word does this.I agree with all you said.
But it seems the point of my reference to Moses' seat goes unrecognized. The seat is not something from scripture except this one part. The seat that is spoken of here by Jesus has to do with Tradition. It is Tradition like this that is safeguarded with the written.
Point is, not everything is in scripture. Also, that if you follow scripture fully you will know both oral and written Traditions must be kept. This means that the Bible is not sufficient by itself and that is from the Bible.
Peace,
Jack
7rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
8See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. 9For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form
12Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, "Please read this." And he will say, "I cannot read." 13Then the Lord said,
"Because this people draw near with their words
And honor Me with their lip service,
But they remove their hearts far from Me,
And their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote,
14Therefore behold, I will once again deal marvelously with this people, wondrously marvelous;
And the wisdom of their wise men will perish,
And the discernment of their discerning men will be concealed."
Oh really, what is the Bible missing that will damn a person?
