Wilfully, knowingly calling the work of the Holy Spirit evil. Or calling Him evil directly. Is there a specific reason you're asking? (New Christians are sometimes accused by the devil of having done this, when in fact they have not)

i recently herd that its when you dont feel guilt for sinning becauce you dont know the holy spirit

i know that the work of the holy spirit is good but when i tried not to think of myself calling the spirit evil the thought popped into my head of me doing just that

I told you what it means.

As you don't believe me, therefore you are getting other options, which are menacing to believe and you seem to be accepting those fine.

What I said simply requires one to think on and go with the Holy Spirit.

Why would God damn you forever with no chance of forgiveness at one or two words? Words which come from sin and you can hate and repent of?

And even if not damned forever, 'damned in this age and the age to come'.

Why?

Obviously, that is not the case.

The reason you can not be forgiven for blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is because it is not a sin to be forgiven of. So, if someone asks, "God please forgive me for my sins", but do not have the Holy Spirit, you will have all of your sins forgiven -- but still will have the error of thinking you have the Holy Spirit when you do not, if that is the case.

No one is righteous but God. God alone is good. The Holy Spirit is God. Without the rebirth in the Holy Spirit internally you have no good deeds and no good words.

All human kind without the Holy Spirit say they are right in what they do. They are wicked and wrong. And many, many Christians think they are Christians but are not led by the Father nor are reborn in the Holy Spirit.

(Some Christians are not born again but are being led by the Father to be born again, just as the Apostles before the Lord was crucified.)

The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit. To deny it it is to deny the Holy Spirit's power.

This part is just my understanding from my own studies. Remember anyone can be wrong including me. This person's understanding is this takes place when the 144,000 of God's elect witness in the end times. They are not to premeditate what they say because the Holy Spirit is to witness through them. Denial to let the Holy Spirit do this is the denial. It's this persons belief the reasoning for shortening the days for the sake of the elect most likely has to do with this. So that the denial doesn't happen. I'm firm in my belief of this but no one should ever take someone's belief at face value. Go find out for yourself. Most certainly never take any one persons word as truth without checking it out. I don't care who they are. I offer you my belief that it will enable you in some way. I've heard it said if you don't know what it means it's highly unlikely you've committed this sin. I agree with that.

I'm surprised at the number of threads throughout cf dealing with people's fears about this one verse. The Lord says we will know Truth when we hear it so I have to ask myself why there's so much confusion on this. Father, open eyes and ears in Jesus name.

OP:
It is true if you don't know what it means, you are guilty of the sin.

As for people knowing the truth, they think they do when they have committed this sin because their 'ears and eyes are shut, lest they turn to God and be healed'.

They can not hear the truth for they do not have the Spirit of Truth, but think that they do.

No one is good but God. So, who are they to think they have the Holy Spirit? They believe they are born of God yet show they can not hear or see?

As Jesus said, this is for judgment.

Could I have this verse please. I'd like to see how you tied this in. I'm a little lost in your thought process here. I see what you're saying but I don't understand how you arrived there.

Thank you God bless

I was focusing on the original poster, but okay:

What is the one sin you can not be forgiven for?

The Scripture here is clear.

The Jews were saying that Jesus "has an evil spirit". And Jesus specifically marked out this blasphemy of theirs by saying "it is an eternal sin".

Now notice here in Mark his own family was saying he was out of his mind.

Now was that the same thing as what the teachers of the Law were saying? We know they are not damned of his own family.

Why is it any sin could be forgiven, but this?

Is it true if you say of a Holy Spirit full Christian "they are demon possessed" that then you have committed an eternal sin from which you can never be forgiven?

How would that make sense at all?

No. The sin the Pharisees were showing when they said what they said was not recognizing the Holy Spirit in Jesus: because they assumed He had a worse spirit then they had. So in thinking their own spirit was greater then the Spirit of Jesus they blasphemed the Holy Spirit (which is the Spirit of Jesus).

How can they be forgiven for that?

It is not a sin for which there is something one might be forgiven: one may either be born again or not.

If you are not born again you will not be free of that sin, if you are born again you will be free of that sin.

It is not something to be forgiven that your spirit can do no good deeds, it is something to be changed.
