No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And mandatory vaccines would not be a de facto evil unless the vaccine was evil in and of itself. Since a government has an obligation toward the public good...mandatory vaccines are not, in and of themselves, evil or disallowed in Catholic theology.

You do not have to use links, we can google it. However, to try to find what you are referring to it would be helpful to know what country or states you are referencing.

Please define mandatory. Mandated by who? What is the consequence you have read for failure to vaccinate?

For the United states, vaccines are not mandatory at this time:

"All 50 states require vaccinations for children entering public schools even though no mandatory federal vaccination laws exist. All 50 states issue medical exemptions, 48 states (excluding Mississippi and West Virginia) permit religious exemptions,and 19 states allow an exemption for philosophical reasons."

Required (exemptions available in all 50 states) to enter public school is not the same as mandatory. Many other options exist to school children outside the public school system. Additionally, when people feel strongly about something, and their state passes laws that oppose their viewpoints, moving is a complicated and difficult option. If the conviction is strong enough, a way will be found.

Even the new proposed bill in California allows for the filing of exemption paperwork and homeschool. Here in PA even those of us who homeschool must vaccinate. Which is , in my opinion, good. A Catholic may personally feel that it is wrong because of the aborted cell lines. But in that case I think the conscience is not properly informed since the Church believes otherwise.

Just search for Madatory vaccines.

Legislation is being passed across the usa apparently but i know california is the one most talked about... it comes into force in 2016 in oz and many countries in the eu are already opperating under these lines... a french couple are up at court for not vaccinating their two children.

Also further importance to this issue search for homeschooling under threat.

As for mandatory vs coerced...in light of the attack on homeschooling i see the potential even probable fact that children will be taken away from parents who refuse to vaccinate... or as in the case in france face prison and fines too.

Mandatory vaccines even if no vaccine was made using aborted children is still a violation of the right to bodily autonomy..... it is a slippery slope a mandate to give control over the body of human beings.... we saw what happened when the bodily autonomy of unborn children was given to the government... they legalised abortion.... can you not percieve a world where a hitler type figure could rise to power and use such legislation to the deprement of humanity?

I guess what i an saying is regarding mandatory/coerced/forced injections call it what you will...not in the case of vaccines made from aborted children but solely based on the issue of mandatory injections/vaccines and its possible missue is this

The bill has not yet been approved in CA. It has passed the senate, must go through the state assembly, then must be signed by the governor. There is no way to know if/when it will come into force.

If it passes, then it is primarily a vaccine bill with regard to public school bill. There are many options, including allowed exemptions, of avoiding vaccinating your children. If you are convicted enough, private school, home school, and moving to another state are just few choices.

Mayzoo you fail to see the bigger picture. This is not about any state in particular or even any country... this is going to be global... the world health organisation has set guidelines for vaccination rates...i think it currently stands at 90% but could easily be changed at anytime to 100% compliance and if they are seeking legislation to mandate vaccines you can guarentee that is what they intend to do

And if you live in the eu like i do you know well that guidlines and directives mean laws

Why would anyone willingly put their child at risk for serious diseases that could kill them?
It's not logical [IMO] to ignore the health threats.
My children's health comes first - regardless if it's mandated or not - i'm not worried over this as some right being infringed, but rather a necessary medical wellness protection.

I think ppl need educated.
There was one time in the 90's that PPF gave 'tetunus' shots to young women in Mexico - not one shot but a series.
What they did - they added the chemical for pregnancy to the shot so the body would reject pregnancy - making the women sterile.
I at one time used to get pro life mail and i read about that.

Otherwise - it is a disservice to ourselves and neighbors to ignore innoculations.
