It would have been ironic had the man not chosen to swim in waters that had been clearly marked as dangerous, and has swam in safe waters instead.

Yes, because anyone that's ever lived or worked on/near an ocean knows that 8 miles of difference means absolutely nothing - the entirety of the coast is equally safe as every other coast.

Even when that part of the coast is clearly marked as not safe.

I have a feeling that this is somehow going to end up being Obama's fault. If someone goes swimming where there are signs telling them not to because it isn't safe, it's not a smart thing to do. We all have a right to decide if we are going to heed those signs or not heed them. He decided to ignore the signs.

I disagree. I'm not an expert, but let's just use the case in hand- 8 miles clearly meant a big difference in the danger of the water, and there were 2 red flags up. Granted, it's possible to drown in any body of water, but it's easier to drown in dangerous currents.

I'm sure we'll find out. I just know that Obama is going to be brought into it and it will be implied that he is to blame for this. Maybe it will be argued that he was forced to go into the water by Obama's Secret Service agents.

I think Obama Miles should be measured as to their impact on the country. If that's the case, someone's house could burn down in portland Oregon but since he is several thousand Obama Miles, it doesn't matter.
