as so are we come out of every place in our lives to come to Christ to be healed , heal the land , our bodies of dust bro...............

What does everyone think God was talking about when he said he will strike the land with a curse?

"See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse."

The hebrew word used for "curse" in Malachi 4:6 is the hebrew word 02764 cherem and appears to be equivalent to the greek word used for "anathema" [which is used the last time in Revelation 22:3].

I recommend a good hebrew/greek interlinear [first link below is a very good one I think] for doing word searches on where different forms of a hebrew/greek words are used.

I have a thread on "anathema" on the GT board, but will have to search for it. The link at bottom also might be helpful. Will try to give more input later. Hope this helps ya a little. Peace

not wanting to throw a spanner in the works but..... the last verse in the bible jesus read was, “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: “ ‘The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Any of his people among you—may the LORD their God be with them, and let them go up.’ ”

the jewish tanakh (old testament is a misleading term) ends with the book of 2nd chronicles, hence the law, the prophets and the writings.

And why should we care how the Jews put their books in order in the Old Testament? Actually I prefer the term "Old Covenant vs New Covenant" myself.

because that is the way jesus read it!!!

the old testament is the Law, the Prophets and the Writings. If it is good enough for jesus, why is it not good enough for you.
