It seems a new kind of bugging situation has hit the Watergate Hotel. Video posted on Wednesday showed a large number of maggots, crickets and other bugs crawling around the hotel, which is where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is staying during his contentious visit to Washington, D.C.

The Palestinian Youth Movement, a grassroots advocacy group, posted an Instagram video of the critters, claiming they were let loose in protest of Israel's deadly war against Hamas, which has killed more than 39,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza officials.

Seems as if it's more scattershot protesting, where there's not much specificity for their target and they end up creating damages for people who aren't involved in the thing they're angry about.

Did they think he was going to be the one that had to personally clean up the mess they made?

They do know the only people they hurt by doing this was the janitor and the maids, correct?

"We advocate for the underpaid maids and demand they be given better working conditions... Right after they clean up the bugs we intentionally set loose at their place of employment because we wanted to prove how radical we are!"

Maybe for their next stunt, they can find out which gas station his car filled up at, and go intentionally clog the toilets and urinate in the soda machine... that'll show BiBi!!! It'll make for a lot of Instagram likes for their cause.

I have people saying that Israeli athletes in Paris for the Olympics have to have an obscene amount of security because of all the open threats and there was some video showing the Paris Islamists (there because of open borders) were literally hunting down Jews in the streets, even with the additional 75,000 military personnel providing security to Paris.

It's pretty bad elsewhere so this is fairly tame but the damage to the hotel has to be great.

They won't be able to do anything with food for a couple days while they exterminate I would imagine... And I believe this is the type of hotel with Michelin star room service and dining...

I do pray they catch the culprits...

For a moment I thought the headline was in reference to the Democrat party unloading busloads of its most faithful members to D.C. for the protest.

Does the media youre accustomed to write about people that way?

Concise and cogent political discourse 2024 style needs some work.

What a disgusting display of hate. Let it be known that at least 11 of those arrested yesterday (so far) in the anti-Israel violent protests where statues were defaced with paint, flags stolen and burned, and cops assaulted have had their charges dismissed.

"In Columbus Circle, demonstrators took down American flags and set one ablaze, along with an effigy of Netanyahu. On the Christopher Columbus fountain, “Hamas is comin” had been spray-painted with an inverted triangle above it. That symbol has been used by Hamas to identify its targets, though some pro-Palestinian protesters have used it as a broader indication of support in a nod to the Palestinian flag.

On the Freedom Bell, a reproduction of the Liberty Bell, demonstrators spray-painted messages that included “Israel bombs hospitals,” “Free Gaza” and “Free Palestine.”

D.C. police, Capitol Police and U.S. Park Police had announced on Wednesday that 23 people had been arrested in connection with the demonstrations, though the status of all of their cases could not immediately be learned a day later. The D.C. attorney general’s office said it had dropped misdemeanor cases against 11 of those charged by various police agencies for crimes including crossing police lines and disorderly conduct. Eight people charged by the U.S. attorney’s office in D.C. appeared in D.C. Superior Court on Thursday on charges including assault on a police officer, making threats and attempted second-degree theft. They were ordered to stay away from Union Station grounds and report back for preliminary hearings at the end of August."

Two standards of justice. MSN

Hmmm. Good question. Do the writers for media personalities such as Bill Maher, Steve Colbert, Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow, Larry O'Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behart, Jimmy Kimmel, Mika Brzezenski and her wife Joe Scarborough count? Not that I watch any of them since I don't watch television/cable/fios/xfinity/any of the other pay to watch services.

They count if they’ve likened any H. sapiens to Musca domestica larva, yet we’ve been given no examples of any of them doing such.

Wow, nice attempt to castigate some people (who haven’t been shown calling human beings insects, by someone who has), based entirely on not watching/reading what they’ve said.

Who said anything about mainstream?
What's it matter which rags I read. I'm not relying on any of them for absolutes.

Ever read the Congressional Record? Not many do. I have lots. Ever watch the sausage making process in congress live and in color? Not many people do that either. I have lots.

By the way, my post that you replied to that began our discourse was my attempt at humor, sarcasm, satire. It's all part of politics these days, in fact has been for decades. I remember while in college studying political science reading a story about LBJ campaigning for congress. He instructed one of his campaign spokesmen to leak a story to the press that his opponent in that race was caught having sex with a farm animal. When the spokesman told LBJ that he couldn't do that because he wouldn't be able to prove it was true. LBJ reportedly said with a chuckle, "Yeah. I know. I just want to hear him deny it."

God's blessings.

I dont ever read headlines that describe people of this or that party as maggots, or insects, or vermin, etc. So I would not come near making the mistake of thinking thats whats happening here, like you did.

Just wondering how you got to this point. Sure people say nasty things. But media headlines that would call people maggots? Not in any media I consume.

You obviously have me confused with someone else. Read my message and reassess your self righteousness.

Peace and blessings to you and yours.
