Name: Lystra
Race: Angel
RPG: Border Guardians
Appearance: Lystra is a full head shorter than any other angel she knows, though she figures she still weighs about the same as them. The way she constantly soars across the Heavens on her gold-dusted wings makes her believe the extra weight comes from the muscle inside them. She is fair-skinned, though when she flies through too many sunsets in a row, a dusting of freckles appears across her face and arms. Her hair was red-blonde when she was human, but since she became an angel it turned to a soft silver cut off unevenly a little ways below her jawline. Her eyes retained the same deep grey-blue they were before, and the small birthmark on her right ankle remains as well.
Personality: She is very determind, tries to be strong for her God, and loves laughter. Lystra is a very loyal friend, and she is quick to volunteer for the action, whatever that might be. She sometimes snaps at people who make fun of her height repeatedly or say that angels should be taller. She has gotten herself into lots of trouble on more than one occasion because she can't let anything be if she knows it isn't right, and she can sometimes get carried away with her anger against the wrongdoer. She has an instant special connection with most kids and loves holding baby rabbits.
Background: Lystra was 18 when her little sister Katsa had a friend spend the night, and while the three of them were playing on their balcony, the two teased Lystra and pushed her lightly toward the edge. She caught herself on a faulty point in the railing and fell three stories to her death. She'd been a true follower of Jesus in life, and so when she woke up, it was in Heaven. Lystra had been overwhelmed, but a nagging thought brought her to check on her sister. Both Katsa and her friend held themselves responsible for Lystra's death, and the friend's body had been found within the end of the month. Katsa is now 15, and Lystra finds her baby sister has turned her back on God and is getting more and more involved in darker things "because God could have kept me from killing Lystra and he didn't!". Katsa is trying to contact Lystra to say she's sorry and maybe even bring her back. Lystra joins the force partly because she is dedicated to it's cause, and partly to try and save her human sister from Hell.
(I know that angels and humans that go to Heaven are two different things, but for the purpose of this story can it work like that? Or maybe Lystra's father was an angel so when she died, she became one? Suggestions on how to work this are welcome )
