I find it funny (in a genuine way, not a sarcastic way) when a person who calls themselves a Christian accuses a non believer in such a way

You have faith, granted. You obviously have faith in your God. You probably have hope.
But greater than both of these is love.

And why do you attack her simply because she may have disagreed with you or (worst case scenario) even RIPPED into you and pointedly attacked you?

I can understand that
But you have to realize that there are many liberal-Christians, and conservative-Christians (and all the wonderful shades of gray in between) who also hate it when their paradigm-opposites take Christ's words out of context.
It's strange that a Christian would use the word "hate" in the context you did. "Dont agree with"....sure. "Oppose"......I guess I could see that.
