First welcome to CF!! I am glad you could write about how you are feeling because sharing is one way to help others direct you into the light again!!

My name is Sharon and I am also from Australia, from the state of Victoria.. I kind of go from one forum to another.. and today God led me to you!!

I have suffered depression from time to time and the only way out for me was through finding help through Jesus who is always with me ... But I didn't come into the light of Jesus healing without the support of Christian friends caring for me.. praying for me and also through me learning I wasn't the only one suffering and feeling the same and that Jesus was with me always.. I just didn't believe He was so close.. so available..
Our faith grows most through difficult times!!

It is hard to feel God there with you when you feel so alone...

I just wrote a post to another person who was going through a hard time..
It is good to sit quietly and have a conversation with God.. but not to the darkness or vacant room... sometimes we need to use our imagination to see He is there with us.. because He really is and then our conversation with Him becomes more real.. or another good thing to do.. is read out some scriptures and imagine Jesus is speaking them straight to us with His own mouth.. That is extremely powerful actually!!
Gods Word is health to us... bringing life to our inner man which affects the outer man too!!

So many times we aren't helped because we don't believe.. don't see Him with us and yet He is right there with us.. our answer is right with us always.. He is just not able to be seen with our physical eyes.. but our spirits know He is there.. if we feed our spirit with the Word of God and we allow our faith to see Him.. faith is not what we "see" but believing in something we don't see!!

Dear God, I pray for Marri.. Bless her heart today and thank You so much she shared from her heart the depth of her sadness... I pray Your presence becomes so real to her that the smile cannot be wiped from her face.. I know You are with her.. thank You that You have promised to lift us out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; and set our feet on a rock and give us a firm place to stand. I praise Your name that You will deliever Marri when she sees You as her deliverer and I pray her faith grows when she knows You are always with her and will help her!! I pray the power of Your Word become the light to her feet and the ligth to her path.. amen

I am glad you see a therapist, it's important she knows how you feel. Depression can really pull people down and when your in that pit, it often seems that there is no way out. It's important then to keep on praying, however little you may feel like it. Jesus himself felt upset, sad, low- think of his reaction when Lazarus died, and also the night before he died.
Feelings may make you feel Jesus is not there, but it is so important to hold on to the fact that he promised he would be, and remember he does not break his promise. However bad we feel, he is there with us, holding us, going through our difficulties. Remeber he said "In this world you may have trouble, but be brave, I have conquered the world! Praying for you, that you will receive comfort, relief from pain and help.

Just coming back to pray for you again today.. I know it helps us when we are feeling discouraged to know someone cares for us and is praying!!

Good on you to listen to praise music that surely has helped me too!!

Also wanted to share how when I read others testimonies.. true stories of people's lives and how God helps them.... I am always encouraged!!

Dear God be with Marri today.. Thank you that she was encouraged to know Cat59 and I were praying.. Thank You that she knows that You are the source of help.. Guide her safely through this time in her life.. May she come to not just know the truth but be set free from the truth!! Comfort her and lead her into a time of greater faith and blessings.. I pray this depression is lifted from her.. and I pray her spirit is filled to overflowing and the joy of the Lord becomes her strength!! Amen and Amen
