I look at healings and creative miracles as two separate things. Maybe we have not, because we ask not. Didn't the believers who were of one accord, prayed for the Lord to grant miracles, to grant signs? I think that healing is restorative, repairing of something that exists to wellness. To me a miracle is a creation of something that doesn't exist. Such as an arm missing. How many pray to grant miracles? People gets so caught up on thinking they are asking for "signs" and wonders, to "prove" that Jesus exists, that asking for miracles and signs to be granted seems to have fallen by the wayside. Then there are the gifts, and the working of miracles, is one of them. Here we have a church that is so bold to ask God to do signs and wonders. Today you would be critizised as a signs and wonders seeker.
Act 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and
that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
Act 4:31And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
How many say they have this gift? The gift of miracles. It is listed as a separate gift from the gift of healing.
Then there is the condition of the church being in one accord..
