A lot of people argue over the book of john... and I'm certainly one of them. But one of the chapters I keep going back to for so many points of argument is so ironic in that it teaches a unity... not just a trinity of Jesus and his father... but that we are ALL supposed to be one as they are... to work together and all that jazz. So, what do you guys get out of this?

Yes, some use it as "see, it says the father and son are one" and some will say "aye, but it says that all those with faith are one JUST AS the father and Son are, so Jesus is no more 'one' with the Father than any of us are" etc. etc.

It's odd how this passage can be used as an argument to prove which faith is right and which faith is wrong, when the OVERWHELMING message here is that we are ALL one. That our faiths should be bringing us together.

Anyone else get anything meaningful out of this...? I just think it's a beautiful scripture.
