Yes, it is another gospel, to me. It reminds me of when Paul was talking about men preaching with human wisdom and emptying the cross of it's power. He said that the true message of the cross is the power of God. When people hear the true message, the power of God is there and they are changed.

I don't konw much about him. Just from this video clip, I would say he strikes me as a sincere, energetic guy, but that's about it.

I actually love hearing him but he does not go deep enough into the word for me so I like other preachers too.

he never made any statement in that video.... he just dodged questions and kept saying different things.

the big problem that I DID have with him in that video is the whole 'only God knows the heart'. AS IF having a 'good heart' is what saves a person at all. everyone's hearts are ultimately evil, it is not by the inner-goodness of one's heart that saves them. a person's heart is just as evil as a person's actions.

On June 20, 2005, Osteen sat for an interview with Larry King on CNNs The Larry King Show. King introduced Osteen as evangelisms hottest rising star, pastor for the biggest congregation in the United States. And what does he preach? Osteen said he doesnt get into controversial subjects like sin and judgment. False religions such as Islam, Hinduism, and Judaism dont concern him. He doesnt really know whos going to hell and who isnt.

So Obviously he believes people are going to hell. But only God knows who is going to hell.

Here the Bible backs up what he said.

Matthew 7 : 21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Romans 2 :

I wouldnt say he is a false teacher, but I will say that his teachings are very very diluted. He is good for a new christian or a christian rediscovering their faith, but at a certain point you begin to hunger for something more.

Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."
