I can see if Jimmy was a disruptive trouble maker causing trouble in the congregation but he doesn't come off that way to me.

No, not at all...it was simply because he had started to grow his hair. Definitely not a trouble maker...lol at least not in church.

I hear so many things like this...people being kicked out of church or hurt badly by the church and then it makes them not want to go to church anymore. That's not how it should be. The love of God, the Word of God being spoken in love, and the fellowship should draw people together. In Hebrews 10 we're told not to forsake the gathering together of ourselves, and yet what the church does to people ends up pushing them away and causing the opposite effect. It makes me angry because that is not how Jesus was at all.

Its what happened to me in the Anglican Church except I wasn't kicked out I left because the minister called me an insincere Christian because I am not married and Paul my partner is atheist and told me to tell him to marry me or get out. So I left and found Riverlands which is Pentecostal and I am doing my water baptism on Sunday.

No it shouldn't be like that at all but unfortunately it does happen. I haven't been kicked out of church but I've been trying to get baptized and so far the churches that have been contacted won't give me a time of day with the exception of one but I had to go through hoops on that one and didn't want to bother with them.
