I am trying to feel better but it's not working. None of the stuff my therapist taught me is helping.

So yeah, I never really lost my faith at all, I just needed to take a step back, but it has never been stronger than it is nowMy biggest struggle was reconciling the attitudes some people have, especially towards each other, whilst calling themselves a member of anything that presupposes a particular level of tolerance, empathy, compassion and general well-being towards others.
You're no spring chicken when it comes to American Politics and News & Current Affairs -- So you'll understand my disdain sometimes! Lol
How will I deal that? Well, I know it unfortunately isn't going to change, so I can either let it overwhelm me or I can accept that it isn't going to happen whilst being the best example I can be myself.
It seems silly to say that as if it's a conscious decision, because I think we'd all like to think we do try our best, but I think in many cases, if we're objective, critical and really think about it, we can always do that little bit extra.
So yes, I know that by and large things won't change within a community as large as that of Christianity, but if I focus on myself and be the best example I can be, maybe I can be an agent of change even if it only stops a few people and makes them think about the manner in which they conduct themselves.

Okay, makes sense. I find myself leaning towards Christianity but I still can't make myself believe.No problem, I figured people would have questions. I struggled to reconcile with what I saw in the Christian community with my faith. I let it play too big a role in how I viewed my faith and basically just took time out to consider things and find my feet.
Someone asked the same question in my application to go back on staff, here is what I wrote;
