Jesus paid it all all to him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain He made it white as snow.

(Rom 5:1 NKJV) Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,"

(Rom 5:8-11 NKJV) But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. {9} Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. {10} For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. {11} And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation."

Shifting Sands

Sometimes I believe all the lies
So I can do the things I should despise
And everyday I am swayed
By whatever is on my mind

I hear it all depends on my faith
So I'm feeling precarious
The only problem I have with these mysteries
Is they're so mysterious

And like a consumer I've been thinking
If I could just get a bit more
More than my fifteen minutes of faith
Then I'd be secure

My faith is like shifting sand

Wow...today's been the day for coincidences it seems.

Ken, we sang "Rock of Ages" today in our church service!! And those verses in Romans the Confirmation class read through just this evening!

We sing this at church:

Ya know, I don't mind discussing doctrine and theology, I kind of enjoy it. But I think sometimes as Christians we forget the One who is the center of everything we claim to believe. Christianity is about a relationship with God, and not just simply a creed or set of beliefs. Jesus is the one we worship. He was God manifested in flesh for the purpose of taking away our sins.

May I share something really wonderful?

7 months ago when I became a Christian, those four lines played through my head...but...had I heard them before?

We sing Gloria In Excelsis Deo on Communion Sundays:

"Glory to God in the highest. And on earth peace, good will, toward men.
We praise Thee. We bless Thee. We worship Thee.
We glorify Thee. We give Thee thanks for Thy great glory,
O Lord God, heavenly King, God the Father almighty.
Lord Jesus Christ, the Only-begotten Son.
Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father
Who takest away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Who takest away the sins of the world, receive our prayer.
Who sittest at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.
For Thou alone art holy; Thou alone art Lord;
Thou alone, O Jesus Christ, together with the Holy Ghost,
art most high in the Glory of God the Father. Amen."

Just remember, theology and doctrine are what tell us of Christ. But so many times, we forget that and become like the church of Ephesus as described in Revalation 2
