Hi Mark,

I separated out this one sentence from the rest of your response.
The way you wrote that seemed to say that great-wisdom comes from growing older... - is that what you meant?

Because if it is, I respectfully & profoundly disagree, on all kinds of aspects in our life,
not the least of which is this phenomenal aspect known as healing...

I don't want to get too far ahead, so maybe you can clarify... how *you* meant your above statement. Thank you my friend

No.
I do not mean that getting older = getting wiser.
Some of us may even lose, what I call childlike wisdom through life.
I am agreeing that is the sad tale.

Sadly, too many unfortunately agreed to trade-in, God's Childhood-wisdoms He especially created inside us for our benefit. For example, yesterday I was again (suffering for 20hrs. from a ulcerative condition, nearly ended). - But
with 12 friends praying, along with childhood wisdoms I continually practice today I am back to riding horses, or flying with the eagles; even as my skates in the closet are going, what about US we wanna go for a ride too!
So,

I listened to some of it. It relates something I have been thinking about lately. My heart is like a stomach and what do I feed it. On the physical level I have been eating very strictly, no junk or sweets. On other levels watching over my heart. And this wave of tiredness washed over me. I guess I have just been pushing myself too hard. Well now I am resting and praying, hoping to recover for the work week. Ulcerative conditions are no fun. Good that you went through that with Spirit and hope.

Isn't it something when people go on Strict...this, or that;
be that confession, or fasts, or Lent, or whathaveyou, & survive.
When it's over, they go right back to indulging...sweets
that God never us forbade in the 1st. place.

Might be better, if we KEEP sweets ... in spirit, in mind, & in body.
Then the Spirit, & our hope & our faith can continue His miracles. What do you think Mark?

I was reading in a book Abandonment to Divine Providence that (paraphrase) we can add on as many crosses as we want to our Christian Journey but none will produce the same virtue as simply learning to carry the one's the Lord Himself already assigns us daily

This was part of my learning on the last weekend when I suddenly had no energy to do anything but sleep mainly after all my rigorous discipline.

"The Lord blesses His beloved even in their sleep"

The Lord (God/Jesus) actually Asigns us crosses??
to carry, no less daily...
- you believed that, Mark?

Here I read in the Bible, God inviting us with "COME, Follow...ME. For my yoke is easy, & my burden is light" - I like this
much better, as it actually sounds DOable
I gladly abandon the world, for THIS kind of Providence.
And it's more in line with the CELEBRATORY intent of this thread here... Cheers!

I abandon this thread only for now. Only because I am so small and little in understanding
that I hope when I return I will have half your confidence. I do hope to return.
I wish you well and I will always love you.
Hi Mark,
GOD created you as anything (but small), and you can exercise whatever confidence...in Christ you want.

This thread, & its forum is simply for CELEBRATIONS of the 100's of positive generational choices God created us with as our resources... Have fun Mark wherever you may roam
