• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I am a gay woman whohas a try numerous ways to change but nothing is working.II am scared I will go to hell.I feel that the one sin of suicide might be a better option than the continuous sin of homosexuality I feel that the is no other way out.I I have prayed and I have tried to avoid women.please help

Have you heard of the book Out of Egypt? I found it quite helpful on my journey of change.

While we don't address the issue of what is sinful or more sinful in this forum, we definitely encourage discussion of taking the positive steps we need to take for healing. You're definitely not alone in this journey. It's a difficult one. I know my process of leaving the lesbian lifestyle was complicated by suicidal thoughts, running away (to literally another state where I didn't know anyone), and tons of prayer, friendship with individuals who had great boundaries, and counseling. I haven't regretted taking that step at all. I have peace now, and my relationship with Christ is so much closer, because I felt guilty before. So rather than nurturing my relationship with Christ, I ran.

There is a way out, The Bible says that GOD does not tempt, and HE makes a way out of ALL temptation 1 Corinthians 10:13. You can fight it if I can get over a bad guy you can get over a lustful nature also. And suicide is not the way, bc 1sin is just as bad as 1000 sins. Just fight it, ignore the lusts continue to pray, I'll even pray with you, and read scriptures on it to help you hate the sin its fightable. I'll even give you some scripture Matthew 5:28, galatians 5:16-19, Ephesians 2:2-3, and James 1:14-15. Fight the good fight
