A question God will ask each and every one of us.

Jeremiah 2:5, "Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity (injustice) have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?"

Paraphrased: "What injustice have you found in Jesus Christ, that you have gone far from Him? And now you walk after vanity, having become vain in your own conceits?"

10,000 reason to backslide.

If you truly know the Son of God, you as a Christian will never find one thing in this world to satisfy you. And if once a believer having strayed from God, listen to your heart; the Creator has made it much to big for this world.

You may find it easy not to pardon, or forgive others; and find it much to easy to live on the faults of others. Will you say wrongly, as did the Pharisee, "Thank you Lord for not making me like them."

Ask yourself, "Am I guilty of the above; do you criticize, and point fingers?" But consider; is the fault really with the person pointing the finger?

Jer.2:13, "For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water."

Is this the charge the Lord will lay against you? Jesus Christ will never leave you: Its you who will leave Him. Remember! when you leave Him, you also leave behind, "Hope, peace, and the joy and pleasure of His Holy Spirit.

Jer.2:19, "Thine own wickedness shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that you have forsaken the Lord your God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts."

Once an enemy of Jesus; Paul as a lion would stalk, and then kill its pray. But Paul's eyes would be opened, and his wrath, and fierceness soon turned to love. This same man would come to love his Lord, and Saviour enough to die for Him. And so it can be with each of us. Sinners once, but now new creature in Christ.

Jer.3:14, "Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you:

For the Father has sent His beloved Son to feed you with knowledge, and understanding.

It is much easier to walk into the city of Sodom, than to turn, and walk out. So let your own sin correct, and reprove you.
