OK - theology is the study of God
And the Bible has information about God
So, reading your Bible is a sin???
It is written that all unrighteosness is sin. The first words I heard from were, "Read Your Bible." But He has never told me to worry about something. Thought He has often told me to stop worrying about something. I have never heard Him tell me to stop learning more about Him. Though I have had Him tell me that no matter how much I learn about Him I can never full understand the depts of God.
I know that I am really try telling people to listen to God. Others sometimes take that to mean I am against theologians. How can studying about God be a sin. How can we be against that, even tongue and cheek? But if we do want to know more about God, why don't we spend more time just talking to Him?
He asked me to start this thread yesterday. I had already gone over the question with Him, as was explained in the above posts. But if you missed it, this thread is not really about worrying, it is about taking our questions and our thoughts to God.
Look - My brothers pastor had a message. My brother and I had questions about the message. We talked it over and couldn't decide if the pastor was right or wrong. So I took the pastors message to the Lord and asked Him about it. Then He stop intercession just to give me the answer from some who had no idea that I had asked God for the answer.
So this thread is about taking our thoughts, question, and ideas (our worries) to God to get answers.
It's not really about whether we have worries. We have sin in our life. That is the battle. The important thing is that we seek God for advice in all things, including and especially our study of Him (our Theology).
Rm 7:15 For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do but I am doing the very thing I hate.
The above verse could apply to a number of things. For me it most often seems to apply to my worrying about things. I don't want to worry about things, but do I have enough money, can I get my work done on-time, and I just don't know if this is going right>
Rm 7:30 But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.
