Ok, got me. You don't have to nit pick. Now, answer my question: Can you say in public or carry a sign or make a comment on social media that homosexuality is a sin?Wait, you do not even know that the UK is not in the EU?
It is not nit picking.Ok, got me. You don't have to nit pick.
Yes, though this is not the European way. As I already said, religion or politics are deemed rather private things. Now, answer my question: Can you say in public or carry a sign or make a comment on social media that homosexuality is a sin?
What are you talking about?? Republicans rule.Republicans have to face intolerance all the time,
That sounds very much to go on both sides. That is why "Safe places" were needed to begin with.Typically, the safe spaces are only safe for liberals. Diversity of thought is not welcomed, accepted, or tolerated. And people with opposing ideologies are targeted for retribution either by being "cancelled", denied their right to work, or are physically accosted, etc. So, the slogans are not what they seem. The real motive behind them is achieve uniformity of thought and action, and punishment for not complying is a feature (not a bug) of the ideology.
It's obviously pro-LGBTQ+ unless you want to pretend it isn't.
LGBTQ are people, indeed, often needing safe spaces. It's obviously pro-LGBTQ+ unless you want to pretend it isn't.
That's been my experience as well living in the US.There is an easy solution to that - do not advertise your political leanings to the world. For example in the EU, politics, religion etc are seen as private things and I have actually no idea whom my colleagues or friends vote for. It is quite rare to know that, it happens mostly inside families or among the closest friends, only.
Yep. Pushing, promoting, propagating.LGBTQ are people, indeed, often needing safe spaces.
You see it as "pushing an ideology" to offer?
What does it mean, though? Why should we know they are lgbt? I do not want to know. If it is in work, let them just work like everybody else, I do not want to hear or know about their sexuality. And I do not want to celebrate it or anything similar. Similarly, I do not need to know their political opinions or religion.LGBTQ are people, indeed, often needing safe spaces.

Let's take it another direction. Muslims. What does it mean, though? Why should we know they are lgbt? I do not want to know. For one, all the college campuses students not allow the guest to speak. What are you talking about? What does Republican rule have to do with intolerance? What are you talking about?? Republicans rule.

The idea is if someone doesn't broadcast it, they're "in the closet", which is a bad thing. What does it mean, though? Why should we know they are lgbt? I do not want to know. Describe what safe spaces are. How do they operate? How do they differ from a human resources office or a principal's or dean's office and the like?LGBTQ are people, indeed, often needing safe spaces.

Why Muslims? Are you talking about them having a prayer room? Those don't exist to keep them safe. They just give them privacy to pray and to give everyone else a break from hearing them pray out loud. Why would LGBT+ need a similar arrangement?Let's take it another direction. Muslims.
I think of theme pretty much as simply a place where people will not be picked, persecuted, bullied or made fun of.Describe what safe spaces are. How do they operate? How do they differ from a human resources office or a principal's or dean's office and the like?
Could you give a description with more details please? Where is the space? At work, at school, in a store, out in the street? What does it look like? A room with a door they can lock? Some sort of isolation cube?I think of theme pretty much as simply a place where people will not be picked, persecuted, bullied or made fun of.
