It sounds to me like you're saying that fundamental Christians and liberal Christians cannot walk together, until fundamental Christians drop their basic theology and accept evolution -- and do it without exception.
Well, for the record, I don't bow to scientism and let the latest paradigms dictate how I'm supposed to interpret God's Word.
I'm not a mutant copy-error made in the image and likeness of God; I'm not a Homo sapiens, since I was born with the Adamic nature; and I believe that the Flood was global.
If that's too rigid as far as what science says I am, that's too bad.
