who cares???? are you saved??? if you are why do you want to know something that Jesus doesn't even know...and if you aren't the be worried...real worried!!!

But as for me I can't wait but I don't have a reason to know or to worry about it..

The guy is reading the times into the Bible instead of interpreting the times with the Bible.

His intelligence is "misplaced".

Also, he is confusing the "birth pains" with the real "birth".

MT 24:4 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, `I am the Christ, ' and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning ofbirthpains.

And "birth pains" come and go.

These two verses pretty much sum up my whole end-times theology:

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. -Mark13:32-33

It is pointless to ruminate over when it will happen and exactly what those events will be, because Jesus himself said that not even he knows when the end will come. Are we getting closer to the end? Of course, but it could be 2 days, 2 years, 20 years, or another 2000 years before Jesus returns. The only reason to think about the second coming at all is stated in verse 33 above. "Be on guard! Be alert!" it says, because we will surely be taken off guard and there will not be time to get ready when it happens. We need to have an urgency about our relationship with God and about bringing those around us into relationship with Him as well. Otherwise, I see eschatology as a pretty big waste of time.

I wouldn't use Matthew 24 as a 'checklist' to discern the Times. You know, if you read it very thoroughly, you can begin to understand that when He spoke of the abomination of desolation, He spoke of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, 70 A.D. This occured when Rome beseiged them, and fulfills the Lord's prophecy that 'not one stone shall be set on another'. Not to mention Jesus specifically says in Matthew 24:36: "But of THAT day and hour (emphasis mine) knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

That day. Not "those" days of Jerusalem. Look at 37-39 "But as the days of No'-e were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that No'-e entered into the ark. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so also shall the coming of the Son of man be.

What is Jesus telling us here? His coming shall be like the days of Noah. When we read about eating, drinking and marrying we can understand that the people have no idea of what's to come. They knew nothing until the flood came and took them...

... So also shall the coming of the Son of man be.

Of course, this is my opinion and not everyone believes like I do. But it's some food for thought; and no, I'm not saying that I don't believe that there will be signs of the times - just that Matthew 24 doesn't have them.

I agree there are many things that point to end times, just a note to think on is that in the days of Noah, Noah was ready and prepared, for he knew the end was near and he took God at his word. Although the end from start to finish was over a hundred years, he never lost faith. What about you, are you ready for the end to come and meet Jesus face to face? For those of us who are Christian it shall be a glorious day, but for those who do not know him as Savior, it will not. If you are not a believer I would ask you to give God your heart now, because the Bible says that you either belong to God or to Satan. If the antichrist were to rise to power today would you see him as he is, or would you see him as a savior? The Bible says that those who don't have Christ will be fooled and will follow him, only through the Holy Spirits discernment could you know the difference. I could show you many signs that point to the coming of the tribulation. We do not know the day or the hour but God has given us his word, and prophecies in the Bible, so that we would not be deceived, but would be ready for his return.

I agree with a poster here (Tel0004) who said that no one knows the “day nor hour”, but we should know the “season”. Here is an interesting parallel to “consider”.

There are seven trumpets that will sound when we approach the Day of the Lord, just as the type given in Joshua.

Joshua 6:3 You shall march around the city, all the men of war going around the city once. Thus shall you do for six days.

Notice what “six days” represents.

2 Peter 3:8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

So, if one day is as a thousand years, this would be talking about 6,000 years. In other words, going “around” the city for six days represents man living on the earth (in the flesh) for 6,000 years, and then the seven trumpets blow, and that ushers in the “seventh day”, which is the Millennium (Millennium means 1,000 years - ONE DAY – the Lord’s Day - the SEVENTH DAY - The "walls" of Jericho falling down flat could represent this "flesh" age coming to a close when Jesus Christ returns at the seventh trump, and the "wall", or "veil" between the physical and the spiritual dimension is removed (1 Corinthians 15:51-52), and we are "At-one-ment" in the spirit with the Lord.)

Is it possible that this time span of “six days” has already occurred? Most scholars agree that Adam’s time began between 4,004 – 3,997 BC. That would be “four days” from Adam to Christ (2 Peter 3:8). And from the time of Christ to the present time, it has been another “two days”. So, the seventh day (Millennium) is about to begin. Also, if you combine Hosea 6:2 together with John 2:1 and Revelation 19:7, this time frame is further verified. Observe also the time frame (John 4:40) between Christ’s first two miracles in John. The “first miracle” (water to wine) being symbolic of His blood shed at the “first advent”. Then, tarrying “two days” (2,000 years), saving the souls in Sychar, which is symbolic of the “church age” we are presently living in. Finally, the “second miracle”, which was the “healing” of the official’s son at the “seventh hour”, symbolic of the healing (first resurrection) received by believers at the “second advent” (the “seventh day”, which is the Millennium). That is why ONLY the first two miracles in John are labeled 1st and 2nd miracles. The other miracles are not numbered.

• Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.​

• John 4:40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. ​
• 4:41 And many more believed because of his own word.​

Finally, the “second miracle”, which was the “healing” of the official’s son at the “seventh hour”, symbolic of the healing (first resurrection) received by believers at the “second advent” (the “seventh day”, which is the Millennium). Remember, ONLY the first two miracles in John are labeled 1st and 2nd miracles. The other miracles are not numbered.

Notice the exact parallel between Joshua and Revelation in the next two verses:​

• Revelation 8:6 Now the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to blow them.

The events in Joshua happened exactly the way they did to illustrate (like in a picture book) the events of the end times spoken of in the book of Revelation and throughout the Word.​

• Joshua 6:5 And when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, when you hear the sound of the trumpet, then all the people shall shout with a great shout, and the wall of the city will fall down flat, and the people shall go up, everyone straight before him."

Notice the "shout" in the verse above? Remember this verse:

• 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first...

Pretty interesting; huh?
And then we have the city "wall" falling down flat representing this present age coming to a close, and the “wall”, or "veil" between the physical and the spiritual dimension is removed.​

The worldwide media, the denegration of societies and the constant worldwide conflicts that draw the international community; it parallels no other era.

I tend to agree. I mean, especially your reference to the "worldwide media". It's kind of interesting that the "FOUR WIND'S" that blow in "FOUR DIRECTION'S" mentioned in Revelation 7 and Daniel 7 generate this acronym "N-E-W-S". N = North; E = East; W = West; S = South.

Yeah, those winds are blowing alright. They're blowin' a lot of "smoke", like the DRAGON himself.

Well, indeed no one knows the day nor hour, but with the two little studies I posted for Digstar, and references in your post, I would at least keep my eyes open.

I mean think about it; God created the Earth in "SIX DAYS", and He rested on the "SEVENTH DAY", which is, and was always referred to as the Lord's Day. The Millennium is also referred to as "The Lord's Day". And knowing that 2 Peter 3:8 tells us that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, that explains why the Millennium is called the Lord's "DAY" (1,000 years).

If the Lord's Day, the day of rest occurs on the 7th Day of the week, and the Millennium also refers to "The Lord's Day"; with 6,000 years having already expired since Adam...wouldn't we be entering (or about to enter) the 7th Day; the day of rest; the Millennium; i.e The Lord's Day.

Just something to think about.

No we don't know the exact timing of Jesus' return but with all the events that are happening nowadays, the natural disasters that are happening with more frequency and more severely, with all the strife and the rumblings going on, on this earth, I believe it is going to be soon. Maybe not this year, maybe not in 5 years but its sooner than what ppl believe. All you have to do is read the news and then read the Bible to know this. No we don't know when but we can know its getting close.
