Then you must believe there is no tribulation if you believe christians are not persecuted. The Olivet discourse verses address 3 periods - near term, long term, end times.

Your not understanding I'm quoting mark 13.Not Mathew 10.You are not understanding that in Matthew 10:23, "till the Son of man be come" is not referring to Jesus's return, but his coming into the cities and areas of Israel to preach and teach - as is written in Matthew 11:1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities. <<<<< read it.... what does it say?
Parts of the Olivet discourse of Mark 13 are "near term", i.e. up to the destruction of the temple in 70ad. Those are the verses that match with Matthew 10:16-22.
But the long term and end times verses of Mark 13 do match with the verses in Matthew 10. The disciples lived 2000 years ago, not in the end times, when Jesus will return.

The places in Matthew 10 that match Mark 13 is in the near term verses of Mark 13:5-9 up to when the temple was destroyed.. Then, Mark 13:10-13 covers 2000 years of the gospel being spread to the nations. The two chapters are almost identical and you can not tell them apart.
This is literally mark 13 that I am quoting Doug.
It is the Olivet discourse about the tribulation.
Actually pay close attention to what you are dividing into thousands of yearsThe places in Matthew 10 that match Mark 13 is in the near term verses of Mark 13:5-9 up to when the temple was destroyed.. Then, Mark 13:10-13 covers 2000 years of the gospel being spread to the nations.
Then, the end times when the great tribulation begins is when the abomination of desolation is standing where it ought not.
Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
It during the end times, when the abomination of desolation is standing where it ought not, that Jesus will return.

because you claim the tribulation that takes place before Christ comes took place before 70 ad.
I'm not talking about when the US nukes Jerusalem. No, I did not. The great tribulation begins when the abomination of desolation is standing where it ought not. That is still future. As is Jesus's return.
This is who Jesus is talking to in mark 13 telling them they will be delivered up to counsels and betrayed to death by their parents and siblings. No, I did not. The great tribulation begins when the abomination of desolation is standing where it ought not. That is still future. As is Jesus's return.
The 42 months in Revelation 13:5 and Revelation 11:2 are time of the end time frames of events still future.42 months or persecution and tribulation when those saints are delivered up before counsels in mark 13 which you claim took place before 70 ad.
I'm not talking about when the US nukes Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is not going to be nuked. Jesus returns to Jerusalem in Zechariah 14, and stands on the Mt. Olives, splitting it half in Zechariah 14:3-4.Their 42 months persecution ends when Jerusalem is nuked
The day of the Lord when Jesus comes will burn with a fervent heat so hot the elements in Jerusalem will be melted. The 42 months in Revelation 13:5 and Revelation 11:2 are time of the end time frames of events still future.
The Olivet discourse of Mark 13 and Matthew 24 covers three segments of time - (1) near term, (2) long term, (3) end times.
Mark 13:
1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, when were the stones of temple thrown down as Jesus said would be done in verse 2 ? It was in 70AD when the temple was destroyed. Destruction of the Temple happened during the disciples generation.

And your the one who says the saints in Israel are not persecuted, imprisoned and killed before the time of the end..The 42 months in Revelation 13:5 and Revelation 11:2 are time of the end time frames of events still future.

Vlad 'the Impaler' a.k.a. "Dracul" is actually very popular in Romania as a national hero who saved Romania from the Ottoman Empire.

I think a Pope sent him a very nice letter of appreciation.
The Ottomans were slav traders, and he was trying to stop the trade in slavs....Maybe but he didn't have to impale all his enemies on stakes.

Well,it's right there in the Olivet discourse and you said they are persecuted before 70 ad.No, I never said that.
Jesus presented the Olivet discourse as having 3 distinct time periods - near term (the disciples generation), long term (2000 years), and end times (our generation).Well,it's right there in the Olivet discourse and you said they are persecuted before 70 ad.
These Christians are persecuted by the beast for 42 months before Christ comes in the Olivet discourse.
