Parts of the Olivet discourse of Mark 13 are "near term", i.e. up to the destruction of the temple in 70ad. Those are the verses that match with Matthew 10:16-22.

But the long term and end times verses of Mark 13 do match with the verses in Matthew 10. The disciples lived 2000 years ago, not in the end times, when Jesus will return.

Your not understanding I'm quoting mark 13.Not Mathew 10.

The two chapters are almost identical and you can not tell them apart.
This is literally mark 13 that I am quoting Doug.
It is the Olivet discourse about the tribulation.

And just so you know,this gospel must be published among all nations before this tribulation is fulfilled just as Jesus says in mark 13:10.

Then, the end times when the great tribulation begins is when the abomination of desolation is standing where it ought not.

Actually pay close attention to what you are dividing into thousands of years

You claimed Jesus followers who are delivered up in verse 9 is before 70 ad and verse 11 is for the next 2000 years when it is a continuation of the same subject.
The saints are delivered up in verse 9
The saints are told in verse 11 when they are delivered up as in verse 9 ,not to think before hand what to say.


You don't even pay attention to anything Jesus says.Thats why you can not comprehend anything in scripture.There is going to be a lot of Jesus followers who will soon be delivered up because they are preaching against the mark of the beast but you don't understand any of that because you claim the tribulation that takes place before Christ comes took place before 70 ad.

I'm not talking about when the US nukes Jerusalem.

I'm talking about the saints being killed for their testimony of Jesus and preaching against beast worship.
The saints who do not worship the beast or it's image nor receive it's mark are beaten,imprisoned and killed for 42 months before the abomination of desolation is put in Jerusalem.

42 months or persecution and tribulation when those saints are delivered up before counsels in mark 13 which you claim took place before 70 ad.


The saints that are persecuted in these verses are the same saints resurected in revelation 20s first resurection.

This is who Jesus is talking to in mark 13 telling them they will be delivered up to counsels and betrayed to death by their parents and siblings.



Revelation 20
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

You probably don't even realize ,revelation 20:6 is a promise God made to Israelites in Exodus.These are Israelites who were killed for their testimony of Jesus and who do not worship the beast.They are the remnant of Israel who endured till the end and are saved in mark 13.

The day of the Lord when Jesus comes will burn with a fervent heat so hot the elements in Jerusalem will be melted.
Revelation describes it as a cloud ascending from the earth like a scroll being rolled together and it is accompanied by a severe earthquake.Both the heavens and Earth shake and the sky then turns black .That is what happens on the day of the Lord in Jerusalem when the Lord stands of the mt of olives.

Jesus presented the Olivet discourse as having 3 distinct time periods - near term (the disciples generation), long term (2000 years), and end times (our generation).

The disciples and Christians of their time were persecuted for their belief in Jesus. The temple was destroyed in their generation in 70 AD. During the near term verses of the Olivet discourse.

During the long term verses of the Olivet discourse the gospel has been spread all around the world. And during that time Christians have been persecuted. Verses 10-13, in Mark 13.

The in the end times verses of Mark 13:14-47, the beast and the 42 months which he will persecute Christians is during the end times verses of the Olivet discourse.
