“Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord!
Blessed are those who keep his testimonies,
who seek him with their whole heart,
who also do no wrong,
but walk in his ways!
You have commanded your precepts
to be kept diligently.
Oh that my ways may be steadfast
in keeping your statutes!
Then I shall not be put to shame,
having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.” (Psalms 119:1-6 ESV)

I acknowledge here that this is Old Testament, but the New Testament, under the New Covenant, teaches us the same things. We are to be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation. And God chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. And blameless is morally pure, faultless before God, not just because of his saving grace, but because of our walks of obedience to the Lord.

Blameless: [Php 2:15; Eph 1:4; Php 1:10; Col 1:22; 1 Thess 2:10; 1 Thess 3:13; 1 Thess 5:23; Jude 1:24; Rev 14:5]

And we are to walk in and obey the commandments of the Lord under the New Covenant. For the righteous requirement of the law is fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. And we are to walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, and not in sexual immorality and sensuality. And we are to walk by faith and not by sight. And we are to walk by the Spirit. And we are created for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them, etc.

Our Walk: [Rom 8:4; Rom 13:13; 2 Co 5:7; Gal 5:16; Eph 2:10; Eph 4:1; Eph 4:17; Eph 5:1-2,8,15; Col 1:10; Col 2:6; Col 4:5; 1 Thess 2:12; 1 Thess 4:1,12; 1 John 1:5-7; 1 John 2:6; 2 John 1:6; 3 John 1:4; Rev 3:4]

And we are to walk in the commands of our Lord under the New Covenant. For Jesus said we had to follow him in obedience, and he said not everyone calling him “Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven but only the one doing the will of God the Father. And those who keep his commandments are those who obey God and who have eternal life in him. And if we don’t obey his commands we don’t even know God. And if sin is what we obey, and not obedience, it ends in death, not in eternal life with God, etc.

[Matt 7:21-23; Lu 9:23-26; Jn 8:51; Jn 10:27-30; Jn 14:15-24; Jn 15:10; Rom 2:6-8; Rom 6:1-23; Rom 8:1-14; 1 Co 10:1-22; Php 2:12-13; Heb 3:1-19; Heb 4:1-13; Heb 5:9; Jas 1:21-25; 1 Pet 1:1-2; 1 Jn 2:3-6,15-17; 1 Jn 3:4-10,24; 1 Jn 5:2-3; 2 Jn 1:6]

So, we are to be those who live morally pure lives, who walk in the commandments of our Lord (under the New Covenant), who obey our Lord’s commands, in practice, and who seek God with our whole hearts (with all that we are). And we are to walk in the ways of the Lord in truth and in righteousness and not in sin. And we are to be steadfast in our walks of faith until the very end. And we are to keep our hearts, minds, and eyes fixed on Jesus Christ and on his commands he has for us to live by.

He is Lord

Unknown

He is Lord; He is Lord.
He has risen from the dead,
And He is Lord.
Every knee shall bow,
Every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord.

Aaron, I am sorry, but I am not connecting your quote from "The Normal Christian" to the OP. Please explain. Thank you. Sue Love

The idea was there. The contrast between right and wrong, being and living in Christ a truly blameless life as God's Word states.

I had several paragraphs illuminating that in general, in simple harmony with the op/post.

We (all) are dealing with supernatural / spiritual , much or most of it in the world being wrong instead of blameless.

The 'voices' people listen to are not nearly always right or good, but people accept them because they are continuing in sin, wittingly or knowingly or not. They're support group/system tends to keep it that way..... instead of leading to Godly sorrow , grief, and repentance. So they argue against what it true and what is good and what is right, to self-protect their way. Hopefully they will learn to test what they were or are told/taught.... to prove what is right with and by God's Word, and to turn away from what is sinfully wrong in their lives.

And we are to be steadfast in our walks of faith until the very end. And we are to keep our hearts, minds, and eyes fixed on Jesus Christ and on his commands he has for us to live by.
We are to be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation.

I am going to read this post thoroughly to find any reference to knowing Him personally, hearing from Him, and doing as He leads. I will reply favorably to all that I find.

I did find a few references to knowing Him personally...
Blessed are those ... who seek him with their whole heart
For the righteous requirement of the law is fulfilled in us who walk ... according to the Spirit.
And we are to walk by the Spirit.
we are to be those who ... who seek God with our whole hearts
And we are to keep our hearts, minds, and eyes fixed on Jesus Christ
The greatest blessing of being a Christian is to know Him. And though we have never seen Him, we love Him with all our hearts. Thank you Lord for this indescribable gift.
