I'm confused ...some people say they are a Christian band and some people say that Evanescence straight out said that they don't sing Christian songs. Does anyone know for sure?

Hold on here, I did not say I did. Just the things I have seen do no exactly lead me to believe that she is. Pm me if you want themMoreInSorrow said:Interesting that you know her heart...
Oh goodkermit the toad said:They are not a Christian band. Amy Lee is Christian, but the band does not play "Chrisitan" music, per se.
I don't need them, I know about the band well enough, and have probably heard the same things you have. It just intrigues me that unless you know her personally, and have spent time with her on a daily basis and really gotten to KNOW her, that you could make that assumption. Seems suspect, but also typical, to me.Argyle Park said:Hold on here, I did not say I did. Just the things I have seen do no exactly lead me to believe that she is. Pm me if you want them

Do you like their music? Or are you just trying to ride the fine line between what is CONSIDERED "Christian" and "Secular" by the general public?

BTW, I enjoy their music
NFSteelers said:I enjoy their music too! I got to see them in concert this past summer which was really awesome. My cousin works at the amphitheater they came to, so we were able to get 8th row seats in the center! It was awesome!
Not trying to drift the thread, or bash, but giving credit to the success of a band that was around for 10+ years to the only member that was with them for 2 years is a bit of a stretch. They were great long before Rocky came along, contrary to whatever tripe Theory says.Joshua J. Daigle said:So do I if it's anyone other than Rocky Gray. Or is that Grey? Rocky is seriously a phenominally talented musician. He is, in my opinion, the main reason that band existed. You can cast speculation on the other band members, but Rocky is an amazing talent. There are bands out there in the Christian, and even secular, rock scene that owe Rocky a considerable debt for helping them jump-start their careers. Second to none, without a doubt.
