Anybody here who does karate, kung fun, wing tsun or something else? Does this always involve occult practices such as meditation?
Martial arts is great exercise and can be done completely non-violently (even with the sparring). There's no occult practices involved with martial arts itself, although perhaps there is some history or culture from whatever country your teacher is from. My teacher never mentioned any occult stuff, and I think would laugh at such. He might want you to learn to count and know basic commands in the martial art's native language.
I also heard that some of those moves you do actually have a deeper meaning and basically are a call for demonic strength, is this true?
I don't think you could call on demonic strength if you wanted to, much less without intending to, nor can demons harm you if you are in Christ. There's all sorts of mostly mumbo-jumbo about the historical aspects of things like the styles of the moves, reflecting whatever the societies believed at the time that style was invented; I think mine was supposed to be some sort of thing about how energy flows or something. The truth is the stuff that works is used; and the strength you call upon is your own and that which you gained from exercising just like everyone else.
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Fathers hand.
