Dying2Live4Christ said:I have some ipod questions. I have been recently wanting to purchase an ipod and I needed to know some stuff about it. First off, if I have a windows xp, is that compatible with an ipod. Second, would I just buy an ipod or is there other things that I need to buy with it, when I do buy it. Third, how would I get my cd's on the ipod through my computer? Through windows media player? Because that it how I burn my cd's and I am just completely confused about music downloading and such. I went on apple's ipod site and have read up on them, but I am just so technologically challenged...lol

You may choose to buy some additional accesories, but that's all you would need. You would get your CD's on the iPod using iTunes, which comes with the iPod or you can download from Apple's website. You don't want to use windows media player to import your CD's, it will import them all in a format that won't work on the iPod. The iPod will come with instructions on how to use it. you can also go to www.ipodlounge.com for a lot more information and to ask questions.
You convert them into iTunes and then when you sync up your iPod it will automatically send them over to it, unless you set it up so that you manually control what gets sent over and what doesn't.I have been converting my WMA files into itunes...and I was wondering.. is this all I have to do in order to play them in an iPod?
You have the option to play the songs through at random or in order that they are loaded on to it. If you load in 200 songs, you could have them play in the order that you load them and then you would always have some control over what you are listening to.I was thinking about buying the Shuffle because it's so inexpensive, but I don't like not being able to control the music order.

I can't afford a big music collection and an IPOD. i get jealous and mad over all the people that are so rich they can afford the big IPOD and all the music to fill it and then some. Why not spend some of that money to help others. I'n not saying to live a life of poverty but some people's music collections are crazy. I guess that's just my jealousy talking though, it's not like I'm ultra generous, just not rich like others. What ever happened to good old CD's anyway.

I come from a family where my dad is a custodian and my mom doesn't work. So I am not rich materialistically but I am rich in the grace of God! Music and the computer are where I use my money for entertainment and leisure. All that I have is just a blessing from God. I try to be generous and I try to glorify God even with the use of my money. But, I by no means try to offend you. Please don't be angry. God bless!

Not enough or too much for who? I don't think I'd need more than even 4GB of music at any given time, but I have 74GB available for me to listen to, so even the biggest wouldn't hold it allbytheway said:I have an ipod 40GB - it rules.

Dont get an ipod 60GB - to much memory and to expensive.
