In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi all,

I'm kind of new to CF. I was trying to find my way around and a CF angel directed me to this area. I'm a mother of a 19 year old son. We worship, study, and are active at our community church. Recently, I noticed a need for a fuller relationship with God. Attending church and participating in church activities is no longer enough. I want God in my recreation, education and working time too. So I'm here to make CF my christian community. Here I can have fun, pray, chat, learn, and grow in faith. I'm grateful for all the fellowship that's offered. I hope that I can be a blessing to others as well. God Bless.

Hi Child of God and welcome to the forum,

It is certainly good to come together with persons that share your faith. But you feel that something is missing. That is because, despite our attending a particular church, it will not take the place of our own relationship with the Father.

You remember when the Apostle Paul said that the "Father is not far off from each one of us?" We know that the Spirit of the Father dwells within us. So, rather than finding God in a particular church or a particular faith, we find Him within. When we look within we finally find the one that we have been looking for all along. He is not far off from us. His spirit actually lives within us.

No doubt the Spirit of Truth that our Lord Jesus continues to pour out has moved you to feel that something is missing. You may very well go through a spiritual transformation. I wish you well on your spiritual journey.
