  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How would you describe yourself?
Do you mean physically? Or who I am?
Physically I'm middleaged, natural blonde, hazel eyed, woman ...from the clan of the round face.

Who I am: Optimistic about life, and people despite going through many tragedies and disappointments that would have left most people jaded or at least calous. Fully aware of my ignorance. Caring, and yet not ever insincere. Capable, and yet sometimes embarrassingly incompetant. Fearful to the point of being invisable. Yet, strong enough to stand up against wrong. I'm a hard worker. I am the type to go out of my way to be helpful. I'm fiercely loyal, but I don't forgive those who betray me. I have strong opinions. A little too proud for my own good. And a little too self destructive to be considered healthy. I never ask for favors. And I never wear out my welcome. I cry at T.V. commercials. And have a way of making people laugh. I'm moderately articulate, but with no relative concept of time or money. Philosophical, spiritual. A total bookworm. And scarred by my life to the point of not wanting to live it anymore. I love God. I love my family.

Same question.

Out of touch with reality. Don't understand people too well. I wish everbody would like me in the real world. Given up pretty much. Tendency towards reclusiveness. Don't understand why everybody is so mean. I think I'm nice but not sure if I am. A bit selfish. Not too eager to please at all. A bit rebellious. Bad memory of spoken words. Don't learn from my mistakes too well. Very talented at writing computer programs. Stressed and worried and depressed most of the time. Avoid conflict. Hoping for the Lord to come and take me home. Like to have a bit more fun first. Love my family so much.

My favorite teacher is my english teacher. He goes to my dad's church. He is married and has two daughters that I try to talk to, though they are very shy. He starts class with 15 minutes of reading every day. Then, he either tells jokes or has headlines on the Smartboard. He tries to keep his class interesting and gives extra credit on every worksheet. The current one was a semi-colon with sentences using the Flinstones. There is a blank in the sentence about the Flinstones and we have to fill in the blank. The person who gets the most right gets three pts extra credit, the second two pts, and so on. I don't think I've ever heard anybody complain about his class.

Frog junk holder. He holds a bunch of my junk in his mouth. Like paper clips and odd things I have collected over the past 25 years are sitting in there.
