The Cherokee, along with the other tribes, were called civilized because they/we lived in towns, had agriculture, and worked metal. We also easily accepted new technology and ideas.

From what Ive heard, it is only one small group that believes that, and they arent taken seriously by the rest of the tribe.

Perhaps they should be. There are archaeological discoveries proving the tribes were in America long, long ago....way before Columbus. One account showed some explorer (I forget the name) that came up Mobile Bay and traveled north. The Cherokee, I believe, are located in or partially in Alabama???

When the Europeans arrived, the Cherokee occupied a territory that extended from western Tennessee to the mid Carolinas, south from Alabama/Georgia north to Kentucky/Virginia/West Virginia. They were the largest tribe east of the Mississippi.

Native Americans are said to have arrived in North America about 15,000 years ago. Long before the time of Moses.

There's a big difference between "very good," and "do not improve upon."

There is no evidence for that kind of clear genetic distinction has ever existed between Africans and Europeans.

Racial groups are not distinct. The mutations responsible for light skin are not fixed in even the "purest" european populations. Likewise, 10% of africans have the A326G allele (the "white" one) on their KITLG gene. On the ASIP gene, the 8188G allele (the "black" one) is found in 12% of those with european ancestry. We could go through all the rest too, but there are a LOT of genes that effect melanin production.

Within the animal kingdom...many varieties and yet all are animals. Within the plant species...many varieties and yet all are plants.

Those are different species. Unless you want to try to argue that races of people are different species???

And if that were the case, does that mean it would be a sin to learn a second language?

If God had just changed our pigmentation, most wouldnt have scattered because they would have still been able to speak to each other. So, God first confused our tongues and then scattered us, thereby creating the "races".

I am not in favor of interracial marriage for the same reason I am not in favor of a one world government. I believe national and cultural diversity benefit the human race, not impede it.

We don't need it to be 100%. We just need the people who have a problem with it go to 0%. I'm fine with the other 50% not caring one way or the other.
