  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

yeah, i actually do have an idea that can spice up your room.

After our hall was painted white, my dad had a mozaiek mold of grapefruits which you could hold on the wall draw your mozaiek on, and then paint it blue. It looked very pretty and spiced up the boring white wall quite a bit.

I like white and blue combinations, so maby blue vases, or blue tablets or other decorations could spice up the interious. =)

Any ideas for a border or cheap way to spice up a bedroom recently painted white?
Hey I just went to AC Moore, to pick up a border for my bathroom.I used my 40% coupon, for one andbought the other for $9. they are the usual 15 ft. a roll. I thought that was a real good price, providing you have a a.c moore there! If not look at a paint&wallpaper store and look through their sale aile's.that's what I do ,I never pay the full price. If that's not what you want, grab some stencils, for the border,or if you are real tight on cash. get a pic. you really like make photo copies of the pic ..at a print shop, use the same adhesive (sizing) you would for wallpapering,(they sell that at home depot)then you can go over it with a gloss of your choice. If you need any info. on this, please email ,and I will explain it better,if you need........I have done quite a few projects, for I have moved around alot and each place I HAVE to fix up!!!Bonnie

You might also try Better Homes and Gardens website, which is bhg dot com. Another way is to just pop in 'pretty border for a white wall ' in a search engine and see what you come up with. I can't decorate worth anything, I have to see ideas all the time, I just really suck at it- lol.

Deary,

You must, if the room is to remain white, soothe it with a variety of colors and textures. Something must be bold, a focal point to a degree. Curtains (don't even think of blinds) and valances, area rugs (check out www.Khadenrugs.com; or think sisal!). Find some original art if at all possible from a flea market or on ebay, and put it in an ornate frame.

I must finish by saying www.Ikea.com has some great prices on very well designed everthing for the home. (always bearing in mind there remains a cavernous distinction between "interior decorating" and "interior design")
