Well...yeah, but we don't always know how to pray as we should ... right?

I kinda pray for whatever I see (safety for the jogger), at the same time listening if anything is revealed to pray for (their kids, marriage etc.) I can't wait till it gets to the point that we'll stop and say to the jogger, "hey, God really loves you, and He wants you to know that He's bringing healing to your marriage" . . . . I suppose the exercise of praying will bring me to a place of listening, then more praying, more accurately.
I've heard that speaking in tongues is a way of praying bypassing the intellect. I've not seen much or any evidence of that . . . that could be a useful tool.

I believe all the examples in the bible of it...they were praising God, or "declaring the wonders of God".

Acts 2
11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!”

Acts 10

Some people seem to think that tongues are the sign of receiving the filling of the Holy Spirit, but the bible does not actually say this, and I do not think it.
Acts 8

That's great WCM! Yeah, opportunities are endless it seems.

Just the other day, another coworker and I had to call a local vendor for a part we needed at work. So I called him right there on the cell phone, and the guy was pretty stressed about his 22 yr old daughter having medical problems - they were on there way to the hospital.

So right then and there, I asked him his daughter's name...Carlie. So I started praying for Carlie right there on the cell phone. My coworker (who's not a christian) was just staring at me like I'd lost my mind.

The vendor thanked me up and down, and started emailing me update status' on his daughter...just thanking me over and over for actually caring, and taking the time to pray. He's not a christian, and having someone pray for his situation is not a typical response he get's from his customers.

Long story short, his daughter had to have surgery (gall bladder removal, and some lesions), and she's back at home now, doing well. And now I have an open door to minister to this guy, who has this testimony for his daughter and family.

Thank the Lord for little miracles, that turn into big miracles...eh?
