  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Book of James is awesome. Such a slap in the face to lukewarm Christians. And my favorite story would have to be David and Goliath.

I was raised that way. Honestly, I don't care for government any longer. All parties suck. The best political system would be anarchism, but the possible violence and wars outweigh the benefits of starting over.

Well, a long time ago, an Elephant named George was wandering the Gobi Desert. There, he stumbled across a donkey. Now, this donkey had a very quirky name, Bay-Rock. Bay-Rock didn't like anyone, and liked to run everything. George thought this was very bad, and waged war on Bay-Rock. George stood for limited power, although he secretly did want global domination. So, the elephant and the donkey were locked in battle until the cows came home. And thus, our political system was born. The Republicans learned of George's stand against tyranny(and his secret agendas), and backed him up, placing his image on everything Republican. The Democrats, on the other hand, stood behind Bay-Rock, and placed his image on everything. Thus, we have our political parties images.
