  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yay! Let's get this show on the road! You are going to do so well! I know you are. It will be just like all of the other ladies have said for all of eternity: Yah, I rember there was some pain, but when I saw the beautiful, beautiful baby, it was nothing.

I hope it happens soon for you.
When I was trying to kick along labour, the 2 things that worked best were walking and sex!!!

Plus, you'll want to make love as much as you can now anyway, since you'll have to wait six weeksish after the birth, and then there's the wacky breastfeeding-low-libido hormones and the tiredness. Seriously, you need to spend every spare moment you can having sex now. I planned one last interlude the morning I wound up going into labor and I'm STILL miffed that I had to miss out on that one.

I had a low sex drive, but my DH wouldn't touch me anyway. His reasoning was exactly like that of the guy on Knocked Up. The idea of that being in the general vicinity of his daughter just ruined the whole thing for him. I think that he was actually relieved when the doctor put me on bedrest and declared no hanky-panky for the rest of my pregnancy.

This is funny because one of the mid-wives came up to my hubby (she taught Lamaze) and asked yesterday if he was doing his homework. I blurted out "NO" immediately. I've been trying to tell him. I think he's trying to plan it where he has all his work done just in case the deed does make labor happen. Without getting into tmi we were going to last night & he fell asleep. Blahhhh And low & behold I was having some major BH contractions or I think all night & early this a.m & some other signs so maybe just maybe tonight will be the night for the deed and a B'day party.

Just a quick update: I had contractions ALL day yesterday & night last night. It was tough needless to say. I'm extremely tired today. They are off & on now hopefully giving some time to rest. I almost gave in & went to the hospital but wanted to see what today brought. If you all could pray for strength I would appreciate it very much.

Hang in there and try to get as much rest as you can. Hopefully, you are getting all nice and dilated and will kick in active labor when your 5+cm. Watch for the emotional signposts. When you start to feel serious, it's getting close to time to go to the hospital. The other trick is to bake cookies. When the cookies start to burn (because you are distracted), you are ready to go.

Praying lots and lots for you. Breathe deeply and imagine your baby putting on a turtleneck sweater....LOL I swear this works.
