  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Off the top of my head, I would say it was the Dixie Stampede in Branson, MO. For my husband, two sons and myself, just guessing, I'd say it was probably around $160.00 or so. But that included a great show, a pre-show and dinner so it was a good enough deal that we've gone there 3 times and even took my grandma with us once.

I have been an animal lover since I was a little kid. I'm sure it drove my folks nuts!

I first met Jesus when I was around 14 years old. Unfortunately I sort of fell away for several years, just calling on Him when I needed Him. A few years ago, my oldest son was saved when my husband took him and a friend to a special event at a local church. After that, he kept asking us "When are we gonna go to church?". Well, that was something my husband and I had been wishy washy about for years because I was raised in the Methodist Church and my husband was raised in the Baptist Church and we couldn't agree on where to go. About 5 miles from our home was a little non-denominational country church. We went there one Sunday and they made us feel like part of the family from the first time we walked in the door and have been there since. We recommitted ourselves and I was even baptized with my two sons as I had never had done that in my youth. My husband is now on the Board of Elders, my oldest son is the Youth Leader, and I am his assistant. I hope to help the teens keep from falling away like I did if I can.

I work for the state as a computer informations tech. What that is--we test and train on new computer programs needed within the Dept of Corrections. It's really interesting and I work with a great bunch of folks.

Sorry I haven't checked this thread for awhile.

I would have to say becoming debt free. Owing so many people really gets in the way of doing other things.

In June, I plan to go to Crossover Christian Music Festival in Camdenton, MO. I've never been before and am really looking forward to it.
