  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just got a call from our parish, and they wanted to interview me about a possible CCD job. About an hour and half later they hired me! I'll be teaching 8th grade

I'm really excited about this guys. Please keep me in your prayers!

Congratuations! I taught 2nd grade CCD for 5 years which in our diocese is the year the children make their sacraments of initial (reconciliation, confirmation and first Eucharist.) I loved it. I also taught RCIC last year. I'll pray for you and all CCD and RCIC teachers as you teach the children the basics of our faith which they will hold with them for all their lives.

I do preperation for Confession and first Eucharist in 2nd grade - its great.

Congrats Jeff! I think you will make a great ccd teacher, it is wonderful news for your parish, when I was growing up, my parish did not have very informed teachers, I have learned more about the Catholic faith in the past few months on this board than I ever learned in ccd. Congrats again!
