Are those your children in your avatar?

They're my grandsons, Lukas (4 1/2 yrs) and Logan (17 months). That picture is about 9 months old, I need a new one but they don't sit together and stay still for very long.

I've spent the day at my parent's house, so am going to do my best to answer all at once.

What's one guilty pleasure that you indulge in?
that's an easy one - chocolate

What is your favorite Bible story? why??
I really like the story of the Samaritan woman at the well - it's where Jesus first declared Himself the Messiah and He chose a woman!

I also like the stories of Jesus with Mary & Martha of Bethany. I love the bond of friendship they had. Both women were confident enough of their relationship with Jesus to confront Him - especially when Lazarus died. He didn't treat them as 2nd class citizens even though in those days that's exactly what they were.
Are there any other websites you visit daily?

Share what they are if you wish
Lots - CNN. The Courier (my hometown newspaper), ESPN, The Detroit Free Press and Detroit News (to check out what's going on with the Red Wings), The Washington Times, Townhall News and Information, The Weekly Standard, my daughter's blog and the cartoons For Better or Worse, Zits and Funky Winkerbean (we don't subscribe to any newspapers so I have to keep up).
Do you feel more comfortable driving a motorcycle, car, truck or minivan?
I'm not the world's tallest person - ~5'3" if I really stretch. So I like a minivan because I sit a bit higher and can see better. I've driven one for 5 years now - before that a Jeep Cherokee for the same reason. We changed from the Cherokee to the mini-van because I have 2 carseats in my car again and need the extra seats.

What's your favorite Hymn?
Amazing Grace

What's the greatest thing your relationship with God has taught you?

Patience - if He can be as patient with me as He is, how can I be impatient with those around me.

What is your philosphy on escapism?
If I'm understanding you correctly, I'm all for it. Life is full of stresses and pressures - if someone can safely escape (i.e. a good book, a hot bath, a cup of hot chocolate and a fire in the fireplace, a glass of wine) for a short period of time then they should take that opportunity.

If you could go any where in the world on vacation for a month free... where would you go and what would you do??

Turtle Bay resort in Hawaii and I would just be lazy and pampered. The most activity I would want would be to walk on the beaches.

Where is the best place in your state to visit?

depends on what you like to do

for family fun The Toledo Zoo - not too big, natural habitat.

Toledo also has one of the top 5 art museums in the country - we have a beautiful glass exhibit as well as a permanent Egyptian exhibit. Everything else is extremely nice also.

Sports - Cleveland or Cinncinnatti

Outdoors - Hocking Hills in SE Ohio

And of course we have the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Which season of the year do you enjoy the most? What makes it special to you?

I like them all but I think fall is my favorite - the skies are so blue, I love the moderate temp days and cool nights, the changing leaves are so beautiful.

Have you ever visited Canada?

Many times - in grade school toured the Soo Locks, in high school went to Quebec City and the Bay of Fundy. My husband and I honeymooned in Stratford, London and Toronto. We've been to Toronto at least a half dozen times total.

When my son played hockey we had tournaments and/or hockey camps Toronto, Windsor, Forrest and Hamilton.

I plan to visit Victoria, BC one of these days.

Do you read any devotionals?
If so, what?

No, not really. I read "My Utmost for His Highest" about 10 years ago. I also read Spurgeon's Faith Checkbook in the Semper Reformanda thread (thank you very much Truly Blessed).

I did recently purchase a new Bible (NIV Reformation Bible). It has the Westminster Catechism, Canons of Dort, and Westminster Confession of Faith in the back. I've been reading them - so maybe that counts.
