  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS that I hate it when pharmacy reps and such come in during our lunch hour, and since they only see me, they start their spiels about what they need, and I have to listen politely until there's a good point to interrupt and say "I'm not the nursing supervisor, I'm the receptionist". Duh, lol.

IJWTS you'd THINK they'd come in and ask for the doctor or supervisor, at least. But they don't. They're like "Ooh, person" and they just zoom in for the attack, lol. And I'd happily answer their questions, but I don't have the authority to speak for the clinic, so...

You're right, you shouldn't. But you could just pass over the Twilight-related posts. I pass over the ones that don't relate to me or interest me all the time. I don't mind if a few people get off on a tangent about one particular subject, I just scroll on down till I get past it. I just don't understand why it's a big deal...hope we can all just get along.
