  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Harlem Globetrotters are here (I have no idea why), I would totally go see them if it were for two things: A. Tonight and tomorrow night are only nights I will have free this week and B. I do not have $30 to just spend.

they can do that here too. or at least they could when I was on staff. it'd be quite easy for them to see who is who, provided that no programs are being used to change IP addresses.

IJWTS~ This job market situation is annoying me. I know God says seek first the kingdom and everything will be added as well, but imo, a lot of us don't have perfect "hearing God" abilities, and so there is no guarantee we are positioned to get the job or income that God would like us to have. I'd actually like to contribute to my parents footing my bill (I'm still in college), and it's annoying when there aren't any places around that are hiring, especially when I see my parents struggling.
